Peace and quiet, beach right in front of you, birds singing and homemade, delicious, generous breakfast. That's all in this Paradise (what "paraiso" means in Portuguese). The staff is friendly and the food is very good too. Try the parmegian dishes - they do it like nobody else does!

ATTENTION! If you want to enjoy nature and tranquillity, thats the place for you. In the other side, if you intend to be in a "city-like" neighborhood, with easy acess to restaurants, stores, boat tourings and it all, you should try Abraao. Cabanas is at Brava beach far about 4 miles from Abraao on foot (steep trail) or 15' by... More

Lovely beach - that's the best thing about this place. At night you can hear the generator, the ceiling fans in the cabins are so loud that even with earplugs they are not usable (believe me, you need them). Small fan over our bed was broken. Room was clean but damp and musty. Staff EXTREMELY unfriendly, bordering on rude. Food... More

This used to be a camping place which is now going upscale with cabanas: there are the economical cabanas in which I stayed and the larger ones, which I only saw from outside. The cabanas are on a small beach called Praia Brava das Palmas, a ten minute walk to the larger and more populated Praia das Palmas. Praia Brava... More

Far from Abrao (the only town on the island) due to the fact that there is a MOUNTAIN between Abrao and the camping, so it's a very tough hike (impossible with luggage). Therefore, virtually impossible to go to Abrao for dinner, which means you're stuck in the camping/cabanas at night, where they will serve you a way too expensive dinner... More

My boyfriend and I stayed with two friends here in September and I highly recommend it! The staff were friendly, our accommodation was clean, spacious and well kept and the beach was serene and beautiful!! We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you! x x

Stayed here for 5 days in June and it was great. It was off season so had the whole place to ourselves virtually! We stayed in one of the cabins which was simple but reasonably priced and sufficient for all our needs. The campsite has its own beach next to praia da palmas and that was our own for the... More
