think one needs to take all the reviews into consideration. Yes, the owner could be a little more friendly, and yes, there is a stupid rule about not putting your stuff in the fridge, and no lift / elevator gasp! In the end it's clean and comfortable in a decent location. They have wifi that works well in the common... More

Stayed here with G Adventures (which I also would not recommend at all) for 2 nights. Firstly the lady at reception was unbelievably rude! Really unhelpful when we asked about the rooms and breakfast, started off badly and didn't get much better. We had rooms on the top floor but there was no lift so had to drag heavy suitcases... rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable: when I stayed, I didn't need a/c which has an extra charge; bathroom a bit small, but serviceable... town attractions / beaches are all walkable from pousada.

We stayed here for 2 days with Gap Adventures. The huts are cute and are semi detached, so at first glance I was very happy. But, they make you pay for AC, safety deposit box, and have very strict rules. There are some ponds on the property around the chalets, and they were breeding spots for mosquito. The first night... I stayed here as part of a G Adventures tour, and was very pleased with this place. I stayed in chalet #2. The little chalets are amazing. I've never stayed in a place like this and I loved it. You do have to pay for AC, but it wasn't that much. Bugs were not too bad even with the windows... More

Friendly staff, a decent location a 2 mins walk for the beach and dock. Rooms are basic and the beds were quite hard but the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the water pressure in the shower was good. We had a BBQ there one night which was tasty. Wifi was poor. Very slow connection. There is much better... More

After a horrible experience in a hell hole in RJ I booked my self in to a 3 nights stay at Mata Nativa Pousada and the place exceed my expectations. I had a lovely hut with a large double bed en suite air con and a fridge. there was also a hammock on the veranda which was excellent for reading... More

Mata Nativa.. What can I say? I really loved this place! :) We stayed there for 3 nights and had a little house with 4 beds just for the two of us. There's not so much space inside, but everything was clean and that's the most important thing. The area of Mata Nativa is so beautiful.., there are so many... More

I read few comments here and it's kinda difficult to believe how bad their stay was. I stayed at Chale #6 and it was so good. First of all, the chale's really cute, enough space for 2 ppl, the bed's big enough for european people unlikely all other brazilian standard beds (although it wasn't very comfortable but good for those...
