Highly recommend this hostel in Buzios. Jonas is a fantastic host and very welcoming - he will go out of his way to help organise activities and even getting you into the local nightclubs which was great! The room was a great size and clean. Note that the hostel is not in the central part of the town but its... More

Phoenix Hostel in Buzios was a fantastic place to stay! It is clean with nice spacious rooms and bathrooms. There is a nice outside area with a clean pool and a bar. Good breakfast and decent kitchen for guest's own use. The photos on the Internet do not do it justice! Fairly good wifi. Jonas is amazing and very accomodating!... More

My wife and stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. The owner (who looks remarkably like Russell Crowe in Master & Commander) was most welcoming and always happy to help and make recommendations. Rooms are modern, clean, and very relaxing with a private balcony and hammock. Breakfast is great, and it's only a two (2) block walk to... More

the owner Jonas is lovely and very accommodating, the hostal is brand new and very tidy. very relaxed atmosphere and 5min walk to the beach. to get to all the boutiques and shops you just need to take a 10min bus ride from up the road which is cheap. my only suggestion would be for there to be a bit... Buzios is a beautiful town, and as a gem is a bit overrun with tourists and high-octane hotels, especially during high season.. the peninsula is surrounded with beaches so I decided to stay closer to the surf beach Geriba.. most of the hotels/pousadas are a bit cold and tight, with some decent amenities - yet command some $400/night and up....
