My friend and I were backpacking around south america and decided to treat ouselves to a luxurious hotel whilst we visited Iguazu Falls. This hotel is conviently located only 5 minutes from the Argentine/Brasilian border where you can catch a taxi or a bus to the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who spoke excellent English,... more
Very good breakfast buffet included in the rate. Staff super nice and helpful. Pool was very nice and warm - enjoyed late night. swiim. IFree wifi at the lobby but worked in the room too. Rooms are average, typical hotel/motel not luxurious at all except for the robe - ended up buying for presents at US $40 each - worth... more
Great pool, good buffet and lovely grounds. Not a five-star by US standards (the rooms aren't luxurious enough and they claimed no king beds even though we reserved a room with one online). However, great big pool with plenty of lounges, poolside bar and grill and nice grounds to walk around. Lots of friendly, attentive staff, most spoke English. The... more
Stayed at the Mabu for 3 nights recently and we loved this place. Got a good deal via the web and the restraunts and bar's at the hotel are fairly cheap by British standards, food was good ,room was nice also. The pools are brilliant the water is very clean and is always the perfect temperature! The spa centre I... more
Minimum 5 star. This hotel is beautiful. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, our whole experience from the bell boy picking up our suitacases to checking out was seemless. We enjoyed our whole stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Outdoor swimming area is better then the pictures, the rooms are good size.... more
Mabu - huge! Great pools and probably great for kids but do not expect peace and quiet! Rooms are dated and there is maintenance work going on. Service is poor and rooms are not cleaned to a very high standard. If you pay rack rate for this then you must be totally crazy! We found this to be a bit... more
Recently stayed in foz De Iguacu over xmas it was fantastic the service the rooms and the food are great ,i recomend to anyone going to Foz. The waterfall is one site worth visiting and better seen on the Brazil side as you can see more because there are more falls in Argentina. more
Excellent location, 5 mins from Foz de Iguacu, 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the falls. Very clean and well maintained - the rooms were sparkling clean, as were the pools and all the public areas. The pools were a bit on the small side (coudn't actually swim much), but this was made up for by the... more
Without having any preconceptions, I really liked this hotel. We were only due to stay 2 nights, but I left feeling I'd like to come back and stay for a week or so, sampling all of the facilities and generally just relaxing, not to mention visiting Argentina and Paraguay. I didn't find it noisy at all - certainly not after... more
