One will not boast his stay on this place to friends in Facebook. As well noted in one of the other reviews, the place is dated and the restaurants resemble hotels from the communist 70's.Leisure facilities are lousy, the tennis table and billiard table are precarious and are placed on a very uncomfortable room. We did not dare to use... More

I am struggling to know where to start with this review. My fiancé booked the Dom Pedro Palace before we set off from the UK and then panicked and asked me to check it again when we were in Peru as the TA reviews were not very reassuring.  I obliged and thought it looks budget and with no frills but... This is more of a budget family accommodation but not a palace. The rooms are small and dated. Our extra bed has a broken leg which made sleeping for our son a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant provides breakfast with limited options. Dinner is a set menu at 40 Reais but the taxi drivers in Foz will drive you to any... More

Rooms were renovated for the World Cup. Simple but comfortable. The rest of the hotel pretty dated, especially restaurant which felt like Eastern Europe in 70's. No lift so ask for help to get your luggage up to your room. WIFI disappointing but this is the case in pretty much all hotels in Brazil. Breakfast was ok but nothing wow.... More

An average, somewhat dated hotel with dark hospital like hallways with children coots spread in many places and the wall lights right over the beds had sharp edges which was just a matter of time until someone got hurt. ... The staff was friendly and the location was rather good but amenities leave much to be desired. The paid WiFi... More

I was on a conference in Foz do Iguacu. The conference hotel was within walking distance and charged nearly the triple price. To be honest, from where I come from (Central Europe) I have a different idea of a 4 star-hotel. There was no one that could understand or speak English at all, which was weird to me. BUT they... The Dom Pedro is on the main road that links Brazil's Foz do Iguacu with the Iguazu Falls and the Argentinian frontier. It caters to many tourists who either have their own transport or, like us, are with a bus tour. Its rooms are large, clean and straight-forward and clearly designed for people busy taking in the local sights rather... More

I went to Iguacu on a business trip, and I chose this hotel beceause of the location. The hotel was cheap, but the rooms were spacious, and clean. The staff in the reception were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very simple but okey. I do not recommend the dinner at this hotel, the food at Bourbon Hotel approximately a... More

I chose this hotel based on the reviews I read here. I was expecting a basic hotel that was clean. When we arrived, I was greatly disappointed. The lobby looked decent and the temperature was decent, but as soon as we began to climb the steps my optimism fell - it was HOT, stuffy and smelled like an armpit. The... More

Conveniently located in Rodovia das Cataratas (the road to the Falls), Dom Pedro I stands right between two of the best known self-called "5 stars" Foz do Iguaçu's Hotels. Of course, it's not in the same league - and definitely doesn't intend (nor pretend) to. As for myself, luxury hotels do make sense if I plan to take the most... More
