Close to the city centre and shopping, where things are busy during the day, plus within easy 5 min taxi ride to the Rodoferroviaria. It is also whithin a short walk to the old part of the city. Staff were very helpful at reception and the breakfast buffet in the morning had an excellent choice of options. Checking in and... More

I can start off by mentioning the only good thing. The location. Otherwise this was a really bad experience. The staff didn't speak english, and were very unfriendly. They didn't even try to understand us and seemed like we were annoying them when we tried to ask for simple things. The room were dirty (the cleaning lady didn't make the... More

Only stayed here for 2 nights. Good location, although there are not a massive amount of restaurants around the hotel. There are some good cafe's and bars as well, so you won't go hungry. Take note that there were some dubious characters in the streets close to the University. Didn't have any trouble though. I had a 4th floor room.... More

Within walking distance of the shopping area and a few restaurants. The hotel was very noisy with traffic (that seems to flow all night) and people shouting to each other in the street below. While this is outside of the hotel's control, the rooms need better sound proofing. Despite previous reviewers comments, rooms on the higher floors are not immune... More

I had a single room on the 4rth floor and on the street. Very noisy, but good air conditioner, ear plugs, and a firm mattress resulted in a good night's sleep. I had an all-day teleconference using skype over their wireless (and the wireless of their neighboring DeVille hotel). Breakfast was very good; strong Brazilian-style coffee is available all day.

It is located in downtown Curitiba in an area that does not have many restaurant options, but that is a short cab ride away from Batel. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Although I was given a wifi name and password, I could not access it from my room. Breakfast is what one could expect in good Brazilian hotels:... More

A good hotel with helpful staff, good location and smart rooms. There was a kilo restauraunt in the building but it didn't seem to have many customers. We couldn't understand this as the food looked very nice. The breakfast provided plenty of choice. A good place to stay for a few days.

Some fellow travelers who were going to stay at a sister hotel gave me the name DeVille; I had had a terrible experience with the hotel I originally booked and needed to find something on the spot. This little hotel is a gem. It is right across the street from the city's main performing arts complex...and the city park/zoo is... More

Curitiba is such a marvelous and peaceful city, easy to get around (if you have a map with directions, otherwise is chaotic). Deville is a great quality hotel, but the Express does not reach their best. It's quite a simple hotel, similar to Ibis (prefered by most tourists). It does not include breakfast and I found it expensive (BRL8), as... More
