We stayed here while attending a funeral in nearby Washburn. The inn is just a few miles outside of town about a five minute drive. It lies up a gravel drive in midst of a small farm. the owners run the Inn, the farm, and a side contracting business as well as raise their children quite a balancing act. They... More

Loved our stay at Second Wind B&B. The room was super clean and just what we were looking for. We stayed in the Bear Den room and wished we would have booked it for longer. The setting is very relaxing and the hosts are wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and Kelly and Mark were wonderful company. Can't wait to come back.

This is a wonderful place. The room was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The hosts-Kelly and Mark are amazing. They are so welcoming and full of local tips. We loved the animals and Kelly's home made scones were amazing. The coffee was wonderful. Everything was perfect. We thought it was one if the best stats our family has... More

This was a fantastic experience for my entire family. We had the Northern Lights Loft and it was perfect for my wife, myself and my two teenage daughters. The house is immaculate, the breakfast was outstanding (for each of the two days we stayed) and our hosts, Kelly and Mark, could not have been kinder. The beds were all very... More

My wife and I spent two nights in late May at this gorgeous bed & breakfast during our anniversary trip across the Lake Superior states. The inn was easy to find from Ashland, and is in the country where it is very quiet. The house sits back from the road along a dirt driveway, and there is a barn with... More

We've stayed there twice and really enjoyed it! Its in a beautiful setting, quiet, relaxed accommodation, perfect for family with plenty of room. Breakfast was great and hosts Kelly and Mark were wonderful. Great place for a get away or family gathering.

Second Wind is clean, comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is incredibly tasty and the conversation pleasant. Kelly and Mark are very approachable people. Don't pack any books. They have plenty of those, as well as games for you to enjoy.

This B&B made us feel refreshed the minute we walked in. Stayed in "Little Scandinavia" which was roomy and comfortable with a relaxing living room (sans TV), bedroom, bathroom and kitchen--all simply and thoughtfully decorated. My husband is 6'2" and he never had to hunch down to walk through a doorway or enjoy a nice, warm shower. What a pleasant... More

We found this lovely B&B by accident and it totally made our weekend! The accommodations were lovely and the home truly welcoming. I was a little leery of staying at a Bed & Breakfast do to a past experience (which I had found a little creepy!), but this experience was just the opposite. The rooms were very clean and well... We found this place while looking for a place to stay over the busy Labor Day weekend near Bayfield, WI. This turned out to be a real find. Not only were Kelly and Mark great hosts, but they served such a wonderful breakfast of shirred eggs and raspberry scones. It was the best meal of our whole vacation! The two... More
