The hotel was pretty empty, so we did enjoy the slides in the pool area but with no attractions in the area and few resturant choices we left 2 days early than intended. Our room overlooked a shed with an old grill and was trashy looking, we had a 2 room suite I guess you would call it, nothing suite... more

Free smores every night, free fishing off the back pier, free games like horse shoe and badminton made this a fun place to spend a few days with the family while we were in the area to see Ashland and Bayfield. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and quiet. Pool area had a small water park that the kids... more

I must honestly say the view of Lake Superior was really great! But that is where it stops. When we got there the toilet was stopped up. I called the front desk, and she advised I plunger the toilet. I told her I did not pay for a room to plunger a toilet, and if they did not, or could... more

I have stayed here about 8x before and always been impressed however the last couple of times I have noticed that its starting to slip some. Just a couple things are obvious from back when it was great the pool area is now just out of control way to many kids doing to many things that arent acceptable and there... more

Stayed at this hotel during a trip riding the ATV. Room was average. Breakfast bar was OK, nothing outstanding. We were given a complimentary drink ticket to the bar located in the pool area. You had to walk directly through the pool area to get to it, this meant walking around the pool with your shoes on. Front office staff... more

We recently stayed at the AmericInn during our visit to the Ashland - Lake Superior Area. We were very pleased with the accomodations. The guest rooms and public motel areas were very well kept. The rooms were very quiet, we heard no noise from the hallway , the floor above, the highway or from the wedding reception being held in... more

We recently had a two night stay at the Ashland Americinn with two children ages 7 and 9. We found the pool to be the main attraction. Having a small snack bar in the pool area was helpful in feeding the kids in a pinch. The pool was relatively small but warm and fun for the kids. They had a... more

Easy to find, but not within walking distance of Ashland's downtown. RIGHT on the shoreline of Lake Superior and the views were awesome! Make sure and call the hotel before hand to get a lakeside view, otherwise you'll get a view of the parking lot and no patio. We had a microwave and fridge in room. Walmart is just down... more

We stayed here on a trip around the Great Lakes just as the season was starting. There's not much to do in Ashland but there was a warm welcome at the hotel and we had a really large room with a whirlpool, a (gas-fired) fireplace, a refrigerator and two TVs. This place is pretty basic but has everything you'd need... more

This motel has a lot going for it - Such as it's awesome location on Lake Superior, nice (although small) indoor water park, nightly smore making, free bicycles for touring although it would be very difficult to drive along very busy Hwy 2, free paddle boats for going out into Lake Superior although you cannot go out very far, relatively... more
