We checked in to this Motel because all other hotels were booked. We were in the room for 5 seconds after pulling the covers on the bed down and finding bed bugs. We asked for our money back and went to the next town and found a clean place to stay that was "cheaper". We were later told that they... More

This place was way overpriced and disgusting. It smelled like urine, the blankets and sheets had blood stains all over them the toilet wasn't cleaned and there was hair all over in the shower. I would not recommend this motel to anyone!! I had to go buy Lysol just to make it a little better staying there.

The previous owners kept this place charming and clean, clean, clean. Not remotely fancy, but a dependable spot we stayed at many times enroute to northern MN. It is now TERRIBLE. Should have known when it was the only available room in all of Ashland on July 4th. Problems: $$$$ for what you got. Dirty. Mold on the ceiling and... More

Dirty, stinking room. Mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom. Water leaks from the ceiling in the bathroom. We went to see Ice Caves and all the hotels in the area were booked. I called chamber of commerce and they told me that only available rooms are in Anderson motel. Now I know why.

This was by far the worst motel experience I have ever had. There was actually poop on the toilet seat and food stuff and debris everywhere, the smell was overwhelming. The owner/manager took our money gave us a room we put our stuff in the room went out for dinner and came back to find our room occupied by strangers... More

These people are scammers. I booked a room bc I had a wedding in Ashland and most other hotels in the area were booked. I called the day before arrival to get a quote for a single queen/double bed for two people they told me $59. When I got there they had me down for 2 beds for $79 after... More

When you check in and pay, make sure to bring your calculator in with you into the office because you are a "stupid American". It is a nice clean motel with a gentle stream running in the back and a decent view of the lake. However, you have to remember the price and the 12% tax for the area and... More

The minute we walked into the room, my sister said how pleasantly surprised she was with the room. We booked the room as a quick stopover from Ontanogan on our drive to Minneapolis, MN. My main consideration was the price. We arrived about 7pm and check in was quick and simple. Plenty of parking, actually easy parking if you were... More

We stayed the night in Ashland, WI on our wonderful 22-day road trip in September, 2009. Unfortunately, we ended up in a small cheap motel on the main street across from the lake. Anderson Motel had a sign out front showing it was an "AAA" approved motel, so we rented a room for $40 cash. We were exhausted after 14... More
