I went on a weekend holiday with my wife and daughter, and wanted a well-located hotel with a great breakfast, to max out the two days in Belem. The location is perfect - in front of the theatre (Teatro da Paz), and the Republic Square (Praca da Republica) - all we needed was to cross the road on sunday morning,... More

Well located --smack downtown, super nice staff (they do treat you well naturally) but hotel could use a facelifing and, specially, dopt more of the local culture and culinary. It almost seems management is trying to make you forget you are in Para.

Old and hot rooms with lot of mosquitoes in a good location. The price is fair for the poor structure . The attention is so poor that when I checked in, they gave me a key of a wrong room, which was occupied! I entered the room and when I saw the personal belongings of the other guest I realized... I was in Belem on business and was very happy to find I was staying at the Hilton. I have heard horror stories from some of my colleagues about the hotels they were booked into while traveling to Belem. Average lobby and bar for a international Hilton. The staff could have been a little friendlier when checking in and out,... More

Went there on business past week. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation, but beds are comfortable and rooms are big. This is an ok hotel to stay, but certainly not following the Hilton quality standard. Rooms are big, a/c works well (which is of utmost importance in Belem) and internet works well in the room (not complimentary). Location... More

I shall start by saying there are better Hilton's around, but Belem is way up north of Brazil, literally on the Amazon, so it's seems fair to make some allowances. The location is great, central and facing a very pleasant square which features the Belem opera house (yes, the have a 19th century opera house in Belem). The whole property... More

We are in this hotel and very very dissatisfied each time we ask to speak to a manager we are told there are non or non available. With the exception of a few staff who can be counted on On one hand nobody else seems to care, how can a 5 star ( should be downgraded to a two star,... More

Despite the fact that the internet service cost $32R a day, which is ridiculous their services in general was pretty good. Their breakfast, lunch and dinner was well laid out, buffet style with lots of choices.Breakfast started at 04.30 which is a plus especially for early travellers. The rooms need some uplifting as it was noticeable that the fittings in the washroom were... More

As I've read in other reviews, this is an aging hotel and that needs a facelift. Having said that, it is probably one of the nicer hotels in all of Belem. The internet is not free; the fitness room is not free; I was told it was unsafe to go out alone at night. Not very far from the Estacao... More

Older furnishings throughout. Showers need updating. Cable tv is only about 5 channels. Internet service is an extra charge of 32/day....kind of ridiculous. Fitness Center costs an extra 18/day...again ridiculous. None of the extra charges are what the standard travel sites say they are. Very disappointed in the value for the price paid. There are similar hotels nearby that don't... More
