Right on the edge of an notoriously dangerous favela. You would not walk anywhere outside this hotel. Everything is a 25 minute plus taxi ride away.
My room smells a bit of sewage, ancient TV doesn't work, internet is very slow. The room and hotel are almost clean but rundown. The pool us lovely and clear.
