This is an amazing hotel. Staff are all very helpful, food is excellent, everything so clean and beautiful. An awesome experience, near everything as it is in the main city square. I'll definitely stay there again.

This is our 4th time in this hotel. Nice antic building in the city center. Rooms are not luxurious but nice and comfortable. Nice to have a balcony to the lively park in front of the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some of them speaks English so that it is better to practise some words in Portuguese. Wireless connection... More

A lovely place to stay if you wish to travel back in time. The hotel has been done up and the job was well carried out, the furniture, paintings, statues are beautiful. Staff are charming and helpful. The only problem is that for a sulphorous pool perfect for older people the ladder to get out was very unsafe and the... More

Stayed here for a week and was quite happy with the whole experience. This was obviously a very nice hotel in its heyday. Time however has taken its toll and expectations of what a hotel provides have moved on. The overall look of the building is lovely, it has retained the small details that still give it a lavish air... More

This is a beautiful, colonial styled hotel. Many of original features have been retained which certainly adds to the charm of the hotel but may not suit the taste of those expecting contemporary functionality. I came here to attend a conference and was allocated a huge suite of rooms on the third floor above one of the main entrances and... More

As we approached this lovely historic hotel in a late model sedan I felt out of place. We should be in a late 1930's model Packard or Cadillac and should be dressed, not in jeans but in coat, tie and fedora, with my wife in gloves and silk traveling suit. But alas those are the days of Cary Grant and... More

The hotel is truly beautiful with large rooms, gorgeous decoration, fully restored and in excellente condition. We used the thermal pool and it was pleasant and very pretty. Our room was not very spacious, but it had antique furniture, including an old telephone, which gave it charm and authenticity. The other areas of the hotel are very tastefully decorated as... More

A very charming 1920s cassino era hotel. At the center of the downtown beautiful Park. The city surrounds it, Thermas with thermal baths are a 100 meters walk. They have an exclusive thermal water pool at the hotel and thermal baths too. Food is very good, breakfast too. Unfortunately the city administration has not preserved the surrounding of the hotel...
