Lovely chilled out lodge in Pantanal. Went there for activities - boat ride, night drive, piranha fishing and horse riding. Saw lots of animals (including a tarantula that wandered into someones dorm when their door was open!) and had a great time with enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fluent English guides. Place is pretty, clean, lots of large open space, pool area... More

This poussada lies in the Pantanal and is about a 5 hour drive from Campo Grande,MS. On it's property are a couple of barracks which contain the rooms. All rooms are accessible from the outside and contain a bed and a bathroom. This gives it a hostel look and feel. The poussada is fenced off to prevent bigger game to... More

A nice pousada with private rooms, dorms and camping area. There is a small pool and lots of hancocks. The surrounding area is good enough for a walk and you get the chance to see a big variety of birds, some nesting on the pousada's trees. Armadillos, deers and crocodiles can also be seen. A 3-night stay is good enough... More

They advertise themselves as ....the budget option for the Pantanal...., but it is very nice. The camping option is fully catered and in an airy screened bunkhouse with hammocks. You need not bring your own food or tent. Depending on how well you sleep in a hammock, this may well be the preferred option because you are closer to your... More

I stayed at Pousada Santa Clara for three nights a few months ago. I had traveled all over Brazil and South America - the experience at the Pousada Santa Clara was fairly average, although I gave it a "poor" rating because of the terrible service we experienced. We stayed in the "Camping" Section of Santa Clara, which was good value.... More

My friend and I went camping in Pousada Santa Clara (http://www.pantanalsantaclara.com.br/) in Pantanal in December of 2013. We chose the hammock room, because it was cheaper and more connected to nature. We really enjoyed our four days there. If you want to explore Pantanal you have to get at least one of the tours. We met a really cool guide... More

I was originally signed up with another company to do a tour of Pantanal, but after experiencing their pushy sales techniques, some of their staff and reading the tripadvisor reviews I ejected and went with Santa Clara, and am glad I did. The food was great. Our guide, Tom, was knowledgable and the tours were very enjoyable. I saw more... More

We opted for the camping and would definitely recommend this. As soon as we arried we saw a beautiful parrot in the kitchen that returned every day. There are also a lot of caymen right by the river! We really enjoyed our excursions. However, we did a 2 hour horse ride at 3pm with no shade. A bit much for... More

We enjoyed this place. A couple of things though-book the 4 day tour and it's actually 2and a half -day travelling there and half a day back (this annoyed us). Guide spent a lot of time with one couple during piranha fishing at expense of rest of group so didn't tip. Alo if they recommend Bonito with Hostel Catarino's make... More
