The lodge is comfortable and we thought the food was very good. We had to pay for wifi but it worked well on my iphone 4 (but not on my husbands iphone 5 but I think that is his phone more than anything!) We saw a lot of wildlife during our stay and found the day safari with hike the... More

The experiences that you get on this tour while staying at Santa Clara are less that impressive. The wildlife in this section of the pantanal don't compare to what you find in the north. The food here is average. It is beans rice and dry chicken every day. If you go, the camping is the cheap option, but you are... More

We booked it without knowing what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised! The lodge itself is an excellent accommodation. The dorms are very nice, the 3 meals a day were excellent! There's a swimming pool, football field, beach volley, pool table, table tennis and much more! The bar provides excellent (not included in the price) caiparinhas! The tour includes... More

The whole time I was there I tried to be positive but in the end I hated this place and I have never had that before! I stayed four days in the camping site and the activities include: Day 1 - Arrive mid-day and meet your guide who says your tour starts tomorrow. Have an argument with the aggressive receptionist... Santa clara is the place to be at Pantanal. The place is really nice: they have a nice dorms with confortable beds, a great common area with games, a cable tv, hammocks,an amaizing kichen and a lot of nature aroud the hostel. The food is unbelivable!!! The staff is really helpfull... thanks Lobão, Paulo, Sando and Zé!

Perhaps my expectations were misguided, but this is not a pantanal wilderness experience. It's more of a farm or ranch visit, with some excursions. That being said we had a fine time, but your not deep in it. The lodge is about 4 to 5 hours on a sealed road from campo grande and another hour on a rough road... More

I was very glad I ended up staying at Santa Clara. Booked it on a whim after meeting another traveller on the bus from Foz who was headed there. Clean and comfortable rooms. The lodge is very nice and the activities included in your stay are really enjoyable. The food was simply delicious! It was great to have a dip... More

I stayed here for two nights and three days and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the brazilian wildlife. The rooms were really clean and the food served up everyday was really tasty and there was a decent variety. The guides that take you out on tours are great fun and really friendly and there's plenty to do... More

Stayed in this Pousada during an Intrepid trip for 2 nights. We were suppose to be booked into the hammock camping, but because of being overbooked, we put in the rooms. Rooms were clean, though our bathroom smelled of sewage (though the only one in the group which did) The food was nutritious and fresh with a bit of variety... More

Lovely chilled out lodge in Pantanal. Went there for activities - boat ride, night drive, piranha fishing and horse riding. Saw lots of animals (including a tarantula that wandered into someones dorm when their door was open!) and had a great time with enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fluent English guides. Place is pretty, clean, lots of large open space, pool area... More
