Churchtown, PA: Churchtown Inn Bed and Breakfast. Fabulous Dec. 7, 2008 We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and were looking for a quiet, low-key place to just relax and remember! Chris and Jim couldn't have been nicer. From the 1st phone call, when Chris patiently stayed on the phone answering questions, giving suggestions about the Inn. She not only... more

We stayed at the Churchtown Inn with another couple on our annual fall trip together, using it as our base to explore the Amish country. Our rooms were comfortable, nicely decorated, and well supplied. The breakfasts were superb, and Jim and Chris were excellent hosts. The location is excellent, though one of the rooms was very close to the busy... more

WOOOOWW! This was our first B&B experience, but what a great one! Breakfast from Jim and Chris was original, fresh and delicious! And since it's everyday at 9, you'll meet the other guests. They've made a great handout about the surroundings en if you want something special they'll make it happen. Lovely old beautiful decorated house. more

What a treat! We've stayed in plenty of B&B's, and Chris and Jim's lovely inn definitely ranks among the best. Their friendliness and helpfulness with navigating the local area was much appreciated, and their home had everything we could have asked for. For a unique experience, join an Amish family for dinner . . . Jim will arrange it and... more

I decided to stay in a bed & breakfast rather than a hotel while I was traveling for work. It was an incredible experience I did not anticipate. Starting with booking the reservation, I was greeted with sincere hospitality. Chris and Jim did everything they could to accommodate my work schedule. They served me breakfast early each morning and made... more

This is the best American B&B we have found. Chris & Jim Farr are the most hospitable accomodating hosts we have met. Made you feel at home without being intrusive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The four course breakfast is outstanding...especially the home-made Churchtown Inn granola! Jim gave us great ideas for exploring the Amish countryside, leading us... more

my husband and I and our dog stayed out this hotel. We rented a house all our own and it was great. There are so few places that take dogs and this is a gem. I felt like we went back in time with the Amish buggies going past our front door. It was so peaceful and quite and wonderful... more

Postives: VERY nice Hosts! Jim and Chris will go out of their way for you! I had a special breakfast request and they were very happy to fulfill that request. They are very kind people in general and fun to talk to you. Place is wonderfully historic and fun area to visit. Negatives: We stayed in the Attic room and... more

Step out of the door and right into Pennsylvania Dutch country. A walk around the block takes you past farms, fields, and cows. The Inn is warm, friendly, clean as a whistle, quiet, steeped in history, and with the lovely Amish quilts on the bed and a gas fire in the heater, your mind and body are miles away--just where... more

We stayed here last month, Nov 2007, and enjoyed everything about this Inn housed in an historic home on the fringe of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Our hosts offered touring information and opportunities to interact with their Amish friends. The rooms are all great, with a variety of sizes and decor to suit most people we know. Each has its own... more
