this hotel is shabby meanwhile. The floors and the wallpapers, the doors don't close properly. It is quite clean, the breakfast and staff friendly. But the lookalike is not more than a 2 star hotel. The windows are not isolated, there was no quiet sleeping without earplugs. There is much to do till the World Championship in 2014

The best days of this hotel are, like a lot of its neighbours, long ago. The room was quite clean but it always smells fusty. There is no wifi in the rooms, just in the lobby - the cable based internet in the room didn't work. breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The gym is really small and the water... More

that you are in Brasilia where hotels are either 50 yrs old or ridiculously expensive. The Carlton is somewhere in between. The installations are oldish, not too much so. I mean, things work - air conditioning, cabled internet, cable TV. The bathroom is decent. But don`t expect too much. Breakfast is, maybe, the high point with freshly squeezed orange juice,... More

The lobby does not look bad, but the hotel is very outdated. Wifi only in the lobby, not the rooms (cable available, though). Room decoration from the early seventies. Did not have warm water for 2 days in my room, thanx gosh it´s Brazil and it was rather hot. Buffet dinner extremely expensive at 45 R$ (26USD) and not something... More

The hotel Carlton is almost an attraction in itself, as it seems to have come straight from a bygone era (the 70s, I guess) with an orange – brown colour scheme, antiquated furniture and equipment and the outfit of the hotel staff. Service is generally good, the rooms slightly ‘industrial’, but adequate, and the breakfast quite OK. However, how taxes... More

Clock has stopped hereas many hotels in Brasilia, but it's ok for a 1-2 nights. Decoration and equipment is old, but everything works.TV, Wifi, minibar...it all works. Good value. Could renovate to become vintage style. Great swimming pool.

You will feel like back in the sixties- even the hotel stuff still wears sixties uniforms. The front desk man Joao Carlos was extreamly friendy and helpful and organized a city tour right away. The rooms were standard and not very stylish, but okay for one night.

Well the spirit of the 70s lives right here complete with that brown shaggy carpet so beloved of US motels, the moulded plastic revolving chairs in the dining room (so who has a bum that shape then?) & the wonderful formal period costume that the employees have to wear (matches the carpet with cheap braid). Given the Hotels name you... More
