Royal Tulip was the England football team's favoured accomm in the brief few days before they unceremoniously exited the tournament (still at least it wasn't 8-1 to Germany eh, Brazil?). It's sumptuous, architect designed and has a certain antiseptic charm. It ticks most of the big, corporate boxes so don't expect quirk or eccentric anything here but what it does... More

We stayed for a wedding. Hotel and facility spotless. It's not near downtown but we didn't mind. Hotel staff accommodating, rooms were well-appointed. Not sure I'd call it luxury, though. I read another traveler saying she spent $1,000 per night-it was pricey but not that pricey.

Royal Tulip is a very nice hotel in Brasilia, Brazil's national capital. First point: the location is fantastic, lake side (lago Paranoa a huge man made lake), however not near downtown. Consider 30min to get to town, without traffic. This hotel has nice rooms, with balcony and a spacious bathroom. The hotel staff is a high point, always whiling to... More

This is definitely not a great hotel. After waiting in line for almost an hour for check in!!! which obviously none of the staff cared enough about the customers standing there to help and try getting the line moving faster...or at least offering some water while we were waiting...we finally got to the room and at this point I was... I have been staying at the Royal Tulip for 3 nights now, and I simply cannot hold back any longer in terms of expressing how badly run this hotel is. I am paying approx $1000 a night, and for this price, as a customer you would expect absolute excellence. The reality could not be further than this. The list below... More

On and off I've been at this hotel for nearly a month. Throughout my stay the staff have been fantastic. They've had World Cup teams staying here with their entourages and yet they still remember my name and always have a smile. The facilities at the hotel are very good and more important the cleanliness is excellent. The location is... More

he hotel has a lot of positive side to it, which, makes me to recommend it to all. The room was clean and big with basic furniture and TV. The view from hotel room was one of the best things to go for this hotel. Staffs were friendly. Breakfast was sumptuous and had a good selection. They had a bath... More

Hotels in Brasilia are usually bad, dirty and expensive. But not this one. If you don't need to be in the middle of the city, and especially if you're on vacation, this is the best hotel to stay in. Keep in mind, though, that you'll need a car or taxi to move around.

I stayed here for business and was very disappointed. For a hotel, rated #1 and considered a 5-star hotel, I had higher expectations. The carpet on our floor was stained and dirty, there are no clocks or irons in the hotel rooms, and most of the staff did not speak English. I'm not saying every hotel overseas should have English...
