We stayed here at Easter when most Brazilians go home, so we almost had the place to ourselves and got a room with a view of the lake. It's a beautiful place with long cool hallways and mid-century chairs in the lobby. The service was inconspicuous and efficient, the breakfast buffet was fresh, plentiful and delicious, served in the outdoor... More

Nice to try the refurbished Brasilia Palace Hotel...one of Oscar Niemeyer's designs in this city that houses so many. I'm glad we tried it, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to most people. The room was lovely, though simply furnished with blonde wood decor; the bathroom, lacking good design (though probably brilliant for the '60s). The restaurant (for... More

I truly enjoyed staying at the Brasilia Palace Hotel. The luxury encountered here lies not in plush interiors but in a well orchestrated combination of spaces and views of the outside. Some of the common areas are refreshingly "empty" giving space to the artwork of Athos Bulcão. I also particularly admired the craftmanship of the woodworkers which went into the... More

Stunning. Situated outside of the city, literally next door to the presidents palace, this hotel sits grandly on the lakeside like a regal beauty. The stark lines of modern architecture work magnificently with this building. Its lines, symmetry and space is simply magical to the eye. The place is well kept, the rooms are very comfortable with good internet, breakfast... More

This hotel is located outside of the city centre and on the lake. The rooms, lobby and grounds are spotless and the staff helpful. The modern designed building and furnishing are interesting and add the the experience. Breakfast had lots of selection and was well presented. Nice pool to sit and soak up the sun. The guest rooms are very... More

Dear Tekko1975, We'd like to thank you for all your compliments. It's gratifying to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again in the future. And to answer your question, the area close to the lake is considered as an environmental protection area. That's why we are not allowed to build anything there.... More

This hotel (renovated after a fire) is a piece of Brasilian History and designed by Oscar Niemeyer with his signature features of natural light and space. If you are interested in Oscar Niemeyer this is THE place to stay (as I understood did also the Brasilian national team in the World Cup). The Oscar restaurant has a good selection of... More
