I stayed at this hotel last week for four nights. It is in a prime location facing the ocean and that's his best asset. The first impression of the room we had was bad. Everything looked so worn and overused; furniture, bathroom and the worst was the bed. Uncomfortable and with bad smell; the comforter that covered the bed looked... More

The hotel is very well located but it is stopped in the seventies without having a make up. The staff is excellent and the breakfast too. But the hotel is very old and look old. Mattress very hard, room very noises all wood doors in the hotel looks like they need an urgent touch. The first day y have to... More

As hotels go in Brazil, this was a clean and lovely hotel. We traveled with another party and their room on the 4th floor was dark, damp and facing a parking lot. It was basic, but clean. We booked a suite and although the furnishings are basic, the room was bright and clean and had a great view of the... More

The Mareiro had a great atmosphere and apart from the occasion lack of attention to details the bedroom, restaurant and pool area were excellent. The staff were friendly and polite and helped make our stay a very enjoyable one. Hardly vital but only down aspect was the bizarre selection of hot food that was available each breakfast.

This hotel is a great place to stay. I've spent a week at the hotel now during the soccer World Cup and do not regret one moment of it. It's in a very good area, as well as on the bus line to Praia do Futuro and other destinations you might like to visit. It was also the only hotel... More

Fortaleza an upcoming city in Brazil's tourism. The hotel is ideally located on the seaside of the city where a lot of restaurants and big hotels are. Rooms are spacious, relaxing, clean. Breakfast in the morning is on the first floor with sea view. you can access all the attractions of the city while staying at this hotel. I strongly... More

Stayed at Mareiro for first two nights of World Cup and enjoyed my stay. The room was nothing special but was more than satisfactory with a comfortable bed and warm shower. It's what's outside of the room that makes Mareiro such a nice place to stay. First the location is right in the middle of Beira Mar, which is the... More

it's hard to know where to start. Location: in less than one minute you can be IN the surf, centrally located on the boulevard skirting the featured beach of Fortaleza. You don't even need to put your shoes on. There's always attentive guards in the lobby which is open like a plaza, with comfortable couches and a big television screen,... More

Very good accomodation for a trip to the Northeast of Brazil. Rooms are confortable, breakfast is excelent and the hotel is the ideal size, not to big, and very well staffed. Staff and location are its best assets. I will return and strongly reccomend

If you have to spend some time in the city before heading for the nicer beaches north or south of Fortaleza, this is a great option to stay. Not cheap, but neither are the other hotels in Beira Mar, the avenue in front of the sea. Mareiro is close to the flee market and to several good restaurants, has nicely... More
