Location perfect, easy to get from the airport by taxi, very very cheap, quite cousy place with a nice internal garden and common place with a telly. It is not for five star travellers but if you are willing to make some compromises then this could be your place. Bring your own lock, your own toilet paper and don't expect... More

I'm writing this review sight-unseen. I, unfortunately had to change my plans of visiting Fortaleza during the summer, but the experience I had after that is the reason i felt motivated to comment. I'd already made reservations for a full week, and when the situation changed I was very surprised to be so attentively accommodated by Marcio. Through phone calls... More

The hostel is extremely basic, no air conditioning just fans, no locking doors (you have to use your own lock), you have to buy your own toilet paper- all of which is fine it is the cheapest hostel in the city so I wasn't expecting much. However, the the service was not just bad but offensive. The owner, Dona Maria,... More

This hostel was the cheapest in Fortaleza. It is extremely basic. you get what you paid for. they dont provide toilet paper. you have to buy it from the owner or another place and they request that you dont put it in the bathroom... If you keep it in the bathroom you should keep plenty of spares.

Really good, everything was perfect, the women was really nice, everything was clean, we took a private a room for a couple, and it cost us 45R$, really cheap, but really worth it. These a store right in front to buy some fruits and veggies; the only thing is that there is no water for you to use and the... More

I loved my time in this hostel. The place has its soul, Maria the owner is so lovely, even if she doesnt speak english or spanish, Maria tries to give you the best information, if you want to visit places around beira mar, Dragao do Mar or any place. Even if i had to share the dorm with 4 guys... More

Nothing fancy but you can't beat the price. They have about half the price of the next higher price place. The owners are special people, too. They will help you any way they can. Great location. Walking distance to the beach, all kinds of shopping. Small market across the street is handy. Bus routes nearby.

The cheapest hostel I've stayed in in Brazil - but you get what you pay for. It's very, very basic. In fact, it looks like its still being built or renovated. Dorm room was very cramped and hot. But the location is good and for 1 night in transit to Jeri it was fine

Colorful Backpacker Ceara is well situated close by the tourist interest, the beach, the Banks, the bus to destination like Futura, Cumbuco... In front you have a Mercado with most of what you need. Build on 2 levels, the place is cover of painting, hand maid decorations, surrounded by a green garden. The rooms are basic, small downstairs with a... More

Well-located as it is close to the Dragão do mar Center, clean, secure and very cheap, therefore good for backpackers a bit short on money. However, be aware that breakfast is not included (there's a small kitchen you can use to make your own) and more surprising - I've never experienced that in any other hostel in Brazil... - that...
