I adore Hotel Studio do Carmo. Every aspect of our stay was superb. The truly friendly and competent reception got us off to a great start, arranging courteous and efficient transport from the airport to the hotel, and then orienting my friend and me in our surroundings. Extremely noisy, reserved for 3 nights only stayed one. The price on my reservation was one and I was charged more, the area was awful. I felt like I threw the money in the garbage $200.00 for a night that I was not able to sleep, and the one in front was 23 reals a night $12.00 what a diference.... more

In regards to the commentary referencing excessive noise, we would like to kindly inform readers of Trip Advisor that this was observed during one of the most important festivals in Bahia, SAO JOAO, a popular music festival that lasts one week...

I stayed here for 5 days with my two adult children. The location is fantastic if you want the historical district. The staff is exceptional - friendly, helpful, responsive. fantastic position,frendly hospitality,very professional person at studio do carmo. splendid and solar pernos wait for us, the room are big and clean,with one atmosfear colonial from old portugal, sure i want to return there. more

really a nice hotel with a very friendly staff ....Massimo is so funny...a real NAPOLETANO :-)) Salvador and Pelorinhio are fantastic....you should come!!!! more

We had a wonderful 5 days staying at the Hotel Studio do Carmo. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is excellent! There were 14 of us from Canada and UK staying at the hotel to attend a wedding and we all appreciated the helpful and friendly staff. Thank you more

the hotel is located in the hearth of the historical centre. this hotel is very clean and the staff is the best in salvador. the breakfast is served in the room and it is fantastic! definitly, i would raccomended this hotel for all people. more

We spend a wonderful time in Salvador and in this cozy hotel... everyting was perfect... i strongly reccomend it... it was nice having the delicious breakfast brought to our room every morning... the location is perfect and our room had a wonderful view of the city... it was great having the wi-fi in the room... i defintely want to come... more
