We arrived at this beautifully designed hotel , and was surprised by the beauty and layout of the building and our room. Very friendly staff welcomed us and helped us settle in. The amenities are mind blowing, with the view from the pool deck being the cherry on top. Beach is just steps away and we went to discover the... More

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at Zank. We had vacations in Salvador. The hotel is very charming, and well located. The staff is very very nice. They do everything to serve the guests. On the top there is a small swimming pool with a view of the sea. I will miss this place...

The location is amazing. Rio Vermelho neighborhood is a safe area where you can walk to beach and many restaurants, plazas and bars. The hotel also has a nice design; especially the old house part. That is where I stayed. I had a wonderful room with big bathroom with claw foot tub. Nice fixtures and decor. Aside from location and... More

Probably the best boutique option for this area. Nice layout. Try to get room overlooking the bay. Quiet. Rooms with an artsy touch but that could be anywhere in the world (I.e. Not much to do with Bahia). Full of foreigners do not really a "local" type if experience. Close to vars and nightlife and a cute beach. Perfect in... More

Excellent hotel and a great deal for the price. The staff was super friendly, our room had an amazing view of the Atlantic and the breakfast was gorgeous. It is also perfectly located for trips into the city.

We had a very nice stay at Zank, unfortunately only one night though. The room was clean and beautiful with a view of the ocean. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of options to choose from. The staff was extremely attentive and service-minded. The hotel is located in Rio Vermelho, which means it is quite far from the... More

I was pleasantly surprised by Zank, which for the budget hotel end of the spectrum was the nicest place I stayed in Brazil (and I've travelled here a lot!). Very pretty and clean hotel, a few things could be touched up but overall it looks great and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was the best of anywhere I... More

On arrival we ordered room service. It took an hour to prepare a salad with 4 lettuce leaves and half a tomato. For dinner we waited one hour for the first course....and we were the only clients in the restaurant.Boutique Hotel ?.. Translation for Boutique into English is RIPOFF.Too bad we were booked for 3 nights. The hotel is impersonal....nothing to... More

The hotel is a wonderful example of a boutique hotel. The superior room has wonderful old wooden floors, and is dressed in a plush colonial fashion. The rest of the hotel is modern and clean but still hold the feel of intamcy of a grand house. Zank and his staff are polite and work hard to and with pride to... More

I've stayed at Zank twice and it's always very pleasant. It's far from the city centre but it's worth the drive to Rio Vermelho. The staff is very calm and helpful and the breakfast is really one of a kind, full of choices and delicious treats from bahía. Rooms are modern, comfortable and well designed. I appreciate the small details... More
