A small very charming hotel near the centre of the old town in Salvador. Good rooms with great views. The breakfast was very tasty. The owners and staff very helpful. The little café close by was also great.

Yes, the hotel is well situated, in the historical centre of Salvador. The owners looked very friendly and provided us on check-in with a lot of information about Salvador, but lately it was practically impossible to contact them: in our room we found a paper with hotel information and read there that somebody of them could be found at the... The staff did not speak English, only the owner. The bed was hard as a rock with plastic covers on the mattress to make it even hotter. The room had no air conditioning and the street had lots of noise all night long. The taxi drivers had not heard of the hotel and it was very difficult to get back... More

Gerusa is such a great host! She helped in everything we needed. Wifi sometimes was down, but came back very quickly. The house is very beautiful, as well as the street where is located. To be improved: we would have loved a more comfortable bed but it was OK.

This hotel has amazing location, close to most central attraction, about 8 min walk, and we loved sitting out on our balconies in the hammock, watching the bay and all the life around us. Bonus points for the bar next door having excellent live music for a part of the evening (not too late at all)! The service is great... More

We used the Pousada as our base in Brazil for the World Cup, so got to know the place and our hosts, Gerusa and Stefan very well. Our stay was really enjoyable during what was a very busy time. Great location in a quieter part of the old town, but an enjoyable walk to all the sites. Importantly only a... More

I stayed for one night only. I had a clean, spacious room with a balcony. WLAN did work, though not properly inside the room. Everything was very clean. The lobby is a very comfortable and well decorated area. They have a big terrace with ocean view, where I was served an amazing breakfast with home made marmalade and fresh scrambled... More

We stayed for three nights in total in May. The room we had (Colonial) was fantastic. Great size and an amazing balcony overlooking the sea, perfect for watching the sunset. Bathroom is nice and clean and bed firm but comfortable. Breakfast was great, served practically all morning. Good location, a short walk away from the main parts of the old... More

We came across this place while wandering Santo Antonio, after we had booked a hostel for three nights (to save money) and found it was not what we expected. Seeing the Trip Advisor sticker in their window, we rang the bell to inquire about rooms. The young woman working the reception did not speak English but we did manage to... More

My wife, 7 year old daughter, and myself spent 5 days at this beautiful pousada in July 2013. We had the Gabriela room which quickly felt like home to us. The place was fantastic and reasonably priced for the area. We made all the arrangements online including transportation to and from the airport prior to arrival. the actual pousada itself... More
