We stayed here for 1 night as we stayed in Praia do forte the other nights. The hotel is very central - in the middle of the 3 main churches and round the corner from the lift to the mercado modelo. Staff is very friendly and the food is quite nice. Breakfast is table service not buffet so if you're... More

Our two night stay in Salvador was greatly enhanced by our stay here! From the minute we arrived we were given a very warm, genuine and informative welcome by one of the French owners and in truth it was his passion and hospitality that makes this an ideal stay while in Salvador. The room was clean, had a view of... More

Having spent many months all over Brazil from humble pousadas, friends' homes in local areas to luxury accommodation, Casa do Amarelindo was one of my three favourite stays. I originally booked for a few days and extended my stay for well over a week because I fell in love with Salvador. Amarelindo had everything to do with that. The hotel... More

We travelled with our 3 adult children. The hotel is situated right in the centre of the historic area and the whole are was decorated for Carnival it was very exciting. The hotel is not a luxury hotel but its location makes up for what it may miss in comfort. On saying that our rooms both with balconies and port... More

We came for one night during carnaval and couldn't resist coming back for two nights at the end of our trip! The hotel is beautiful, decorated in Bahian style, with care and great taste. First of all, the beds are huge, we had beautiful views on the balcony of the bay both times. The owner and everyone who works here... More

We stayed here for 3 nights with 3 kids and it felt like paradise coming back to the hotel after walking around the busy bustling city of Salvador. It is within walking distance to everything in Pelorinho and to the lower part of Salvador. We took a taxi when going to the beach and stayed within the recommended area when... More

This is a lovely small hotel in the heart of the old city. Rooms are spacious and the decor in the rooms and public areas really nice. The disappointment was the breakfast. It is served to you with hardly a word in a random order, all at once even though there is not enough room on the tables. You are... More

We enjoyed very much staying in this small luxurious hotel with à lot of nice details, à personalized service and an excellent accomodation. The restaurant and bar have a great choice with very reasonable prices! The owners Didier and Gilles take good care of their visitors! Suzanne and Robert

We stayed here in mid January. We were very happy to have a room at the back overlooking the port area and we had a lovely patio with chairs and a table. We were also close to the swimming/plunge pool which was a real bonus. (Room 4). Yes, the beds are big, but lots of hotels have big beds these... More

We really appreciate all the time you took to make such a long and complete review and we will try to answer each point. Regarding our panoramic terrace on top of the building, I would like to highlight that the location is open at any moment for our guests even when the bar is not operating. We open the bar... More

What a great stay in Pelo. Just a fantastic hotel experience. The owners Didier and Gilles go out of their way to welcome you to their luxurious little hotel in Salvador. They arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport and welcomed us on our arrival. Nice restaurant and bar. Very friendly staff made us feel really comfortable... More
