I liked the service, the attendants are friendly and helpful and has a good location next to pelourinho. It was also close to many restaurants and had great view of the Harbor. The people were very helpful directing us where to eat and the other sites. The only negative no elevador just narrow stairs some room have no outside windows.... More

Under new management since the previous reviews on TA and this seven room Pousada I used as my base for two weeks to watch World Cup matches in Salvador and Fortaleza. Very much made part of the family by Newton and his team with Marina and Sophia being extremely helpful in view of my non-existent Portuguese. Rooms are basic, but... More

Most of my last business trip to Salvador Bahia Brazil earlier this month, I stayed at a small/clean (7-room) quaint inn/pousada (Pousda Beija Flor) located a mere short walk/run/jog to Salvador's "Historical District") This redesigned, Pousada (under new ownership/management as of July 2013) is located in the new "artist hip" district called San Antoino. I slept in a simply awesome... More

My wife and myself stayed there for 9 nights, we originally booked double room with sea view but got an free upgrade to a superior room as a present for it was our honey moon (muito obrigado Ricardo :-D ) and I have to say the superior room is fantastic with breath taking view to the bay, very clean with... The rooms are very small, hot and very uncomfortable. The AC noisy, the hamaca on the balcon dirty and the place doesn't have a nice atmosphere. We booked 5 nights, payed 5 nights, but after 2 nights we left to stay for the rest in a much nicer place, on the same road and practically the same price. I cannot... More

This street is full of value pousadas and i came to this one because of the price, having started off more up-market near the Jorge Amado house. Very friendly and helpful with a great sea view breakfast terrace. My 'city side' room was plenty big enough for me and, as a big JA fan, i enjoyed the sense of streetlife.... More

We booked a double bed room. Upon arrival we found joint two single beds with damped wall and a very noisy air conditioning. The owner Ricardo, offered us an upgrade to a bigger and better room, for, an extra fee of 30 BR a day (18 USD). We thought we shouldn’t pay the extra for the first night, but the... More

This little hotel was clean and quiet. However, it was beastly hot in Salvador and the A/C didn't work well. The owner was in Italy and he left the hotel in the hands of people who couldn't fix the problem, and who didn't speak English. Communication was a major problem, the staff was unable to provide us with any information... More

This nicely restored Pousada is a 10 minute walk from the Pelorinho fon the far side from Barra. It was good to spend a night close to the historic center. Room was nice and had a balcony and a view of the bay, but as there was no cross ventilation, it was hot much of the time. Riccardo the host... More
