We stayed with a family of four in their Master bedroom on top of the Pousada overlooking the harbor. I guess that's the best room they have and definitely worth the money. It ranges over two floors with one bedroom on each floor. Be aware that you have to carry your suitcases up two flights to get there ( we... More

From the minute we arrived until the day we left- the Managers at the Pousada Colonial made sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay there and to have an exciting experience in Salvador! The lobby, sittinig areas and rooms were clean, colorful and nicely decorated. Location was close enough to walk into... More

We were really excited to stay here based upon some great reviews and the photos of the building on here. The taxi drive to the location made us nervous of our choice of hotel, and we made sure not to venture off the beaten track in this area. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. One of the staff... More

I stayed here with my husband and young son. We had a nice big room that overlooked the harbor. We liked the location as its a scenic 10 minute walk from the main tourist square, with some good restaurants and bars in between. The staff was very nice and the manager and her assistant were super helpful with arranging travel... More

If you want to experience Salvador like a local this Pousada is way to go. Dian and Sandro are absolutely the best host along with the staff. Great local restaurants nearby. Fantastic cost and value. Even though the pousada is a small one from the outside, inside it is more than large enough. Several really great restaurants within walking distance... More

a beautiful old colonial style hotel in the heart of the Pelourinho. Stayed 4 days and found the staff extremely plesant and helpful, arranging taxi service and booking schooner tour to the outer islands. Some english spoken so that helped. Room 4 was large and had a balcony ,and it aalso opened into the main sala tho......it faces the street... More

We stayed in this charming small inn for two nights. It is located at one end of the historical town. It is in an area that is still being gentrified which means that there are still some rundown old houses around. The hotel is in a beautiful building. But the room we stayed in has no window and is really... More

Beautiful conversion of a colonial house. Rooms on the small side, one definitely needs to upgrade in order to get some decent space. Rooms oriented towards the main street are really noisy, especially when the bar in front is open. It is not that close to the Pelourinho, but if you fancy edgy and slippery cobblestone roads it is not... More

Stayed here for one night on our way back from Boipeba to Rio. The pousada is well situated within walking distance to the historical area Pelourinho and the house looks very fine from the outside. We got room no. 6 with a balcony facing the backside - a terrible view to slum. There was only a cieling lamp and with... More
