If you want to experience Salvador like a local this Pousada is way to go. Dian and Sandro are absolutely the best host along with the staff. Great local restaurants nearby. Fantastic cost and value. Even though the pousada is a small one from the outside, inside it is more than large enough. Several really great restaurants within walking distance... More

a beautiful old colonial style hotel in the heart of the Pelourinho. Stayed 4 days and found the staff extremely plesant and helpful, arranging taxi service and booking schooner tour to the outer islands. Some english spoken so that helped. Room 4 was large and had a balcony ,and it aalso opened into the main sala tho......it faces the street... More

We stayed in this charming small inn for two nights. It is located at one end of the historical town. It is in an area that is still being gentrified which means that there are still some rundown old houses around. The hotel is in a beautiful building. But the room we stayed in has no window and is really... More

Beautiful conversion of a colonial house. Rooms on the small side, one definitely needs to upgrade in order to get some decent space. Rooms oriented towards the main street are really noisy, especially when the bar in front is open. It is not that close to the Pelourinho, but if you fancy edgy and slippery cobblestone roads it is not... More

Stayed here for one night on our way back from Boipeba to Rio. The pousada is well situated within walking distance to the historical area Pelourinho and the house looks very fine from the outside. We got room no. 6 with a balcony facing the backside - a terrible view to slum. There was only a cieling lamp and with... More

A very friendly place where staff is doing the best to help or give good options to discover this marvelous and charming city of Salvadorien. The very close location to heart of Pelourinho is a plus ! Décoration of the house with a perfect taste give the impression to be at a typically "baiano" home ! Définitely a place to stay... More

My friend and I stayed in the posada for a week and we really enjoyed.. The posada itself needs some small improvements (taps to be changed, maybe showers to be improved) but still you can have what u need... Staff is extremely helpful (big thanks to kelly and romolo).. This was our second stay at Pousada Colonial. We has a good first experience but we were bitterly disappointed this time. When arriving we realised the family room street side we got would be very noisy at night, but we were denied a change to a room on the first floor because it had not been prepared. It was only...
