The Pousada do Boqueirão is truly amazing. Pictures don't do the place enough justice, it is a well mantained colonial house, beatiful and unique in its decoration. The owner Fernanda makes the best typical meals for breakfast and the rest of the staff is friendly, courteous and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and move around... More

1) breakfast! It's a fantastic experience! A long table full of fantastic and delicious plates, fresh fruit, moka italian coffee etc etc. The best breakfast of all Brasil, in a terrace overlooking the sea. 2)design! boqueirao is not a simple pousada, it's an interior design showroom. Full of handcrafts well selected, due to the great taste of the italian owners,... More

We would go back to Pousada do Boqueirao in a heartbeat...for several reasons! The warm and relaxing atmosphere of the pousada, the stunning view, the comfortable rooms, and most of all, the astounding breakfast! We had Room 4, which was actually a triple--very spacious and airy, with a view of the bay from garret windows (we were on the top... More

We stay at the pousada for 3 nights during the world cup. The pousada is located in the historic center but not in the middle of the craziness which I liked. We were close to everything and yet we had piece and quiet. We stay at room 9 with ocean view. A small but very charming room. We had an... More

Atmospheric pousada with wonderful views over the port and setting sun. Copious and delicious breakfasts served by wonderful, smiling ladies. The area is a 10-minute walk to the main square of the old town - a wonderful walk down cobbled streets lined with colourful colonial buildings. The owner was very helpful. Would stay here again and highly recommend it. Salvador is... More

Spent two nights here and I cannot recommend it more to other travellers. Pros: - Efficient check in service, and as soon as the owner saw we had a toddler, he immediately offered us a bigger room as he was worried the one we had was too small - at no extra cost - Excellent breakfast, such fresh and well... The attention to detail was unprecedendet in the decoration of the house and rooms. The wonderful wooden floors and the decor was wonderful, and having a stunning oceanview high above the harbor during breakfast was just lovely. Highly recommendably!

Arriving late at night after an intercontinental flight, we were so looking forward to this Pousada. Due to the great reviews and experiences from friends. But we were shown a room in the attic, with no view, smelly and hardly furnished. The 'bed' consisted of a hard wood plank with a very hard mattress on it. The 'shower' was more... More

What a little oasis! The pousada doesn't look like much from the outside: just wait until you go inside! If you prefer AC, make sure you request it (some rooms have AC, some don't). Breakfast is delicious! Rooms have a fridge. The wifi is an issue: we had a room on the second floor and couldn't get a signal unless... More

My second visit to the Pousada. Last year, I came with a friend. This year I brought my sister and more friends. I love it here. The pousada is in Santo Antonio - which is just off the Pelourinho - and that is a blessing. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat from the city. The views of the sea... More
