I was traveling with my son across Brasil (it was a high school graduation gift to him from me) and we stayed for two nights at the Pousada Azul. Apart from being friendly and more than clean, the people are very helpful. An example: I forgot my I-pod in Penedo. And thanks to senora Beatriz´s telephone calls and helping my sending a deposit I received my I-pod within three days in Salvador. Jeanne Visser and Alida Klaver more
A friendly Pousada in Barra with great staff. Rooms and communal areas are immaculately clean. There is free internet and lots of information and ideas for trips in and around Salvador. Located near to bus stops - would definitely stay here again. more

A charmful 'pousada' in an excellent location, less than 50 m from one of the best beaches of Salvador. Staff from the pousada are friendly and willing to make hosts happy. The Pousada Azul is located just two blocks from Porto da Barra, the hottest beach in Salvador, and all major bus stops. Airport pickup is available for a better price than the metered taxis. The pousada has a perfect location near to the beach of Barra, near supermarkets and restaurants. The staff (all women) is attentive, kind and charming. It is a little jewel. more
