Hotel on a nice location, but the rooms need repair and upgrade. Old furniture and a bathroom ceiling made of a plastic layer. The breakfast could have more variety of fruits and breads. It's a tropical place and the fruits are a must. Late at night the out side door is closed with a lock and feels like a jail.... More

This hotel is set in a great location on the beach. The staff can be hit or miss, some friendly, some just plain unfriendly. The breakfasts are really good with plenty of fresh fruit. I think the whole hotel needs a revamp, from the rooms to the staff. The potential is there for it to be a cracking hotel!

The hotel is well located, the Barra beach is five minutes walking, the center is 15 minutes away by bus and nearby there are supermarket, restaurants and drugstore. My room was in the 9th floor and it was spacious. The furniture is old, but the room and bedroom were clean. The ceiling of the bathroom needs to be cleaned. The... More

Mal functioning air conditioning in all hotel, very hot, food was really bad, molded curtains, small room, please do not be deluded by pictures! View from room was not as announced by hotel. Very expensive for services provided. Bad neighborhood.

The staff are the best thing about this hotel, particularly Fabiana on the desk and Gabriel on the door. The hotel itself is a bit tired and the location although OK isn't as good as in the old town. Taxis ride the old town is about 20 Reals and takes about 15 mins, bus is 3 Reals per person and... More

It is a dated building and rooms have tired decoration. However for that, it is has an amazing oceanfront views, absolutely the best breakfast ever, decent wi-fi and terrific value for money. Please be careful with wlaking in the area after police patrolling stops.

Not a new hotel, but good for what it costs. Nice hotel, confy and clean rooms. Good breakfast, one of best pineaples I ever eat! Superb food on pool terrace just across barra beach. Used it as a stopover night traveling to Maraú, and will do it again for sure.

You have to put the Marazul in the context of the competition in this part of town. As others have said, the location is great if you want a colorful and local beach scene. Lots of seafood restaurants in walking distant with locals and tourists alike. You can take a cab or bus down the coast to sample beaches of... More

Excellent location - couldnt get better. A bit run down as far as appearances go, but one gets what one pays for. Reasonably priced, clean ( most important requirement as far as I am concered), helpful and polite staff, excellent breakfast spread ( in fact the best we had in Brazil). What more could one ask for? I couldn't find... More
