Sadly, not a palace at all!! When we checked into the hotel, which we found was very shabby, we were given a key (didn't work as often happens) to a room where the door to the balcony didn't shut, so the wind off the ocean was whistling. This hotel has a good location in Salvador de Bahia, you have Ondina beach close to the hotel, you see it from the swimming pool and is not far from the city center (Pelourinho) by taxi. I think that there are not quality hotels close to the city center. The hotel's staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good.... more
