The Ibis offers a well known standard of service and comfort and is in a great location at Rio Vermelho, where you find many restaurants and drinking holes nearby within walking distance. It is also in a cul de sac which meant that it was quiet and peaceful at night, so one could sleep really well. Wifi signal was strong... More

We stayed here during the first few days of the World Cup. Check-in was fast and convenient. The staff was very nice, but we had difficulty communicating due to language. The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are basic and very small? Wifi is free. Breakfast is not included as part of the rate. I'll try another hotel... More

Stayed there since my convention was bering held at the Mercury, its twin hotel immediately nearby. Good reception desk servisse. Rooms are small and simple. Breakfast is also simple, but adequate. Surroundings were not beautiful and looked dangerous in some places. If I needed to be at Rio Vermelho again, I would rather stay at the nearby Pestana.

I stayed for two nights and I really enjoyed the hotel. Room was spacious and well kept. Check in and check out was efficient. Location is very good. You can walk around and have some acarajes and tapiocas nearby. Would definitely go back.

The rooms are clean, breakfasts are cheap but very average. Stayed here to watch a world cup game in Salvador - so it was ok on what was required for the 2 nights we were there. Not alot of people at front desk speak English but still very friendly and want to help even if they use google translate to... More

We got lucky in choosing this hotel. The hotel is located right by the water and has great access to a bus station and the main road to walk along the coast and see the beautiful city of Salvador! The hotel is nice has a great breakfast and nice rooms!!

Ibis hotels are always great, this was not the exception, good and clean room, quiet, excellent front desk people, I always feel I'm at home when I get to an Ibis, definitely I will return. It's a bit far from the airport, but everything in Salvador is far from it, so no problem, the taxi should charge you R$90, no... More

We stayed here for 2 days and that was long enough. The Hotel is ok and staff is friendly. Breakfast is ok and probably best value for money in the area for $16 BRL. Even staff from other hotels were eating there in the morning☺. The area is a bit dodgy and we didnt feel safe to walk to far... More

We stayed at the Ibis Rio Vermelho for 5 nights during the recent World Cup. We found it to be a good base for travellers to Salvador as it is in a very good neighbourhood and transport options to the historic centre of Pelorinho and Barra are easy to follow. The lobby staff are very cheery and make an effort... More
