This comfortable hotel is so well-located, right on the Praca da Se, and close to everything you'll want to see in the Pelourinho district. It feels very secure, the youthful staff is very friendly and happy to be there, meeting visitors. The place is well-designed inside, with interesting nooks and crannies, leading to your room. Lovely paint colors, lots of... More

What a wonderful hotel. The staff were as helpful as they could possibly be and they spoke English very well. Although I speak Spanish, Portuguese is a whole other ball game and I could communicate very well with them using either Spanish or English. They knew most things about the area and very more than happy to give you detailed... More

A perfect choice in the middle of the historical pelourinho. This is really good value for your money. Clean, spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, friendly and helpful staff, as well as great food and nice common areas. The wifi works perfectly in all the rooms and the area seems safe and quiet at night. We stayed here twice in the... More

Bahiacafe Hotel strikes a good balance between comfort, location, service and value. The proprietors seem to have done a good job packaging a holistic experience into an offering that's priced just right. For starters it is conveniently located in the heart of Pelourinho, just off Terrerio de Jesus, which means you're only moments from some of the most important sites... More

We were booked into this hotel for three nights on our tour around Brazil. We arrived in the middle of the night to be shown to our room by the night porter. The room was a complete disappointment. Whilst there was an added shower and toilet off the main room, the sink was in the main room. There were no... More

The hotel is at praca da se close to all museums, churches and restaurants of the old town. From the airport one can take the 1001 bus close to the hotel. The hotel is very stylish: beautifully decorated rooms, coffee&tea, and a varied breakfast. Staff also speaks English well.

First review I have ever written- but I feel quite strongly to add the restaurant here is terrible. I ordered the shrimp, but I guess they decided to give me their re-heated, over cooked "fish of the day." Utterly awful with a disappointing apology and a big bill...75$R for half a meal.

This hotel is STUNNING. We arrived after dark and a delightful young man speaking great English, booked us into room 8 which was a fantastic room at the top , third storey. It had a sea view, overlooking the square, and a big side window opening into a side street. It must have been the best room. Tea and coffee... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and had a really good experience. The building itself is really cool, with old hallways going in different directions at different floors (a bit difficult to find your room if you have been drinking). We stayed in a three-bed room, which was more the size of a suite. Helpful staff, the reception... More

I echo others. Staff were superb, helpful, smiley, always available. Made the visit easy and pleasurable. Breakfast is fab, in a lovely room, with great view. Decor is colourful cool, stone/wood floors, very relaxed. Location suited us, being just outa the main Pelourinho strip area. Would recommend to families, couples and solos alike. A great find.
