Taxi from the airport cost rs90 but if you book through the hotel it might be cheaper, the hotel is very rustic and very friendly situated near the center of Salvador its in a prime location. We hired a guide for the day rs450 Pedro really enjoyed the day, made our visit all the more interesting although too many churchs... More

This Pousada has it right. The place is beautifully renovated, has a central location, provides a good service and attracts mostly western tourists. The staff at the reception speak several languages, are helpful and informed. The room is adequate and quiet. The fresh fruit juices in the bar at the best in town. The hotel also has a spa that... All the other positive reviews convinced me to try this hotel and I am so glad I did. It is centrally located, which is great, but Salvador can be busy and it was wonderful to have this hotel to retreat to after seeing the sights. Cozy bar and lounge, airy breakfast room that overlooks the Plaza and delcious and varied... More

This hotel is perfectly situated on the big square in the old city of salvador. The interior design is very charming and rooms are very comfortable, clean and with new design. If interested, you can make use of the nice spa. We used it to take a shower (for a small fee), after we checked out in the morning and... More

Very welcoming hosts, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable! King size and very comfy bed! Breakfast is good as well! The hoteI is also very close to touristic center which is great, no need to take taxis ! The receptionist gave us a great advice for dinner as well (Cuco bistro!) Really enjoyed our stay!

Due to a last minute change of plan we returned to Salvador for one night, this time opting to stay at Bahiacafé for its location in the old town. We checked-in smoothly and were given a clean and spacious double room. It only had one window onto the stairs, but for one night it was fine. The breakfast was extensive... More

Unique and very cosy hotel, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast and bar, and a fantastic team that makes you feel extremely welcome and is glad to help with any detail. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salvador.

My friend and I stayed in Bahiacafe in October 2015. Very polite and helpful staff with good English proficiency. Double bed room was a bit smelly, probably because it was in the centre of the building with no window to the street, just a window facing the corridor inside the building. Otherwise everything was working. Cheap minibar, excellent breakfasts, large... More

The location is perfect, nearby the elevador and right on the big square (Praça da Se) in Pelourinho. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of tapioca crepes (perfect for me as gluten intolerant) and a perfect view over the square. They offer a nice massage service with Sarah, was very relaxing after a tiring journey. The only problem... More
