Normally, a botique hotel would mean that it is out of the way and has compromised convenience for the sake of art. Not so in Bahiacafe. It is located just next to the historic city center and the escalator that connects to the lower city. It feels like a restored building when you notice the wooden doors. The rooms are... More

Very well located minutes away from all the action and the elevator which takes you to the lower city, this is a great option in salvador. The rooms are big and there is a nice artsy/boutique feel to the place that we really enjoyed. Breakfast is served in a gorgeous room overlooking the one of the squares and have very... More

The location is hard to beat- five minutes to Largo de Pelourinho and right next to Terreiro de Jesus, in the heart of the historic district. Friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast. The owner was there the whole time, and was very helpful. We were impressed with the tasteful design, combining historical elements with simple, modern lines. Free Wifi was... More

Excellent little hotel in the heart of Salvador! Great location within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurant, friendly service speaking English and really helpful in giving information, the room was the best of our whole trip (always booked similarly priced hotels), very clean and beautifully decorated, really liked everything about this stylish cafe hotel, would highly recommend it!

The hotel is centrally located in Pelourhino walking distance to the Mercado Modelo, cafes, beautiful churches and dilapidated colonial buildings. Excellent assistance from staff which is a bonus as not many hotel reception staff in brazil speak English. the rooms were spacious and clean. only downside was the lack of wi-fi in room. Highly recommend a bus trip to Barra... More

I stayed in this hotel with two other female friends for two nights. I had read some nerve-wracking things about Salvador and so had some trepidation with staying in Pelourinho, but I'm so pleased that we did. Yes, Salvador is not the most safe city, but I felt VERY comfortable at Bahiacafe hotel. I loved being in the the city... More

This hotel is well located in Pelourinho, just two blocks away from the elevator to Cidade baixa (Lower City). My room was spacious and clean, with a high ceilings. The bathroom, too, was spotless. The wifi was reliable. And the noise from the street was not a problem, since my room was located at the back of the hotel on... More
