We were booked into this hotel for three nights on our tour around Brazil. We arrived in the middle of the night to be shown to our room by the night porter. The room was a complete disappointment. Whilst there was an added shower and toilet off the main room, the sink was in the main room. There were no... More

The hotel is at praca da se close to all museums, churches and restaurants of the old town. From the airport one can take the 1001 bus close to the hotel. The hotel is very stylish: beautifully decorated rooms, coffee&tea, and a varied breakfast. Staff also speaks English well.

First review I have ever written- but I feel quite strongly to add the restaurant here is terrible. I ordered the shrimp, but I guess they decided to give me their re-heated, over cooked "fish of the day." Utterly awful with a disappointing apology and a big bill...75$R for half a meal.

This hotel is STUNNING. We arrived after dark and a delightful young man speaking great English, booked us into room 8 which was a fantastic room at the top , third storey. It had a sea view, overlooking the square, and a big side window opening into a side street. It must have been the best room. Tea and coffee... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and had a really good experience. The building itself is really cool, with old hallways going in different directions at different floors (a bit difficult to find your room if you have been drinking). We stayed in a three-bed room, which was more the size of a suite. Helpful staff, the reception... More

I echo others. Staff were superb, helpful, smiley, always available. Made the visit easy and pleasurable. Breakfast is fab, in a lovely room, with great view. Decor is colourful cool, stone/wood floors, very relaxed. Location suited us, being just outa the main Pelourinho strip area. Would recommend to families, couples and solos alike. A great find.

We decided to stay in Pelhourinho for a visit to Salvador. We made and confirmed our reservation with BahiaCafe in January for our March stay. We contacted them weeks before our arrival to make arrangements for a car to pick us up at the airport and bring us to the hotel. Upon our arrival the car was waiting for us... More

A lot to tell about the Bahiacafé Hotel. The hotel and the staff deserve scads of congrats. They were very much a valuable linchpin in the success of our stay in Salvador de Bahia. It was our first stay in Brazil, and when you don't know the country, you appreciate that breed of professionnals - here, "hospitality industry" takes its... More

Very well situated. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Nice staff. Safe. Excellent breakfast. Lovely architecture. A very good option depending on the rate you found on Internet. Others hotels in Pelourinho's upper part look also fantastic. So compare before booking!

I loved hotel! It is HUGE inside with tons of rooms tucked away behind different staircases and hallways. Everything is very quaint and boutiquey. There are different colored walls everywhere. The staff is also impeccable. So incredibly nice, and they speak Portuguese, English and Spanish! All were very friendly! I slept incredibly well, I didn't hear any loud noises outside... More
