We were here for Carnival 2015, and it was the right choice. It's is off the parade track enough that the volume of Carnival isn't too much if you want an early night (you can still hear it a bit) and there is no craziness right on the street. The rooms are fine and clean, and the breakfast is good.... More

Room is very small with no wardrobe so every thing must stay in the suitcase, bathroom very small as well no place where to leave own stuff or to hang towels, I cannot care less if there is tv when internet doesn't work. Room clean and enjoyable breakfast included are a plus for the first day onwards the lack of... More

Dear Palma, we are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our Pousada and very disappointed to be evaluated as "poor". Besides that all our rooms have Air conditioning (Split), ventilator, TV and fridge, they all also have a wardrobe as well as towel supports in the bathrooms. Besides of 2 rooms where the internet signal is... More

We had a recommendation for this place from a friend of a friend so we had quite high expectations. To be fair there was a lot to like. The location is great being close to the Fort at Barra. The staff were really helpful and tried to decipher our English requests. They also helped us with a venue to spend... More

The best breakfast at a Pousada Verde is one of the best- healthy, variety and plentiful. Location is superb, a few minutes walk to the beach and the lighthouse. Superbly clean, well lit, nice colors, and very inviting. Rooms are nice, decor. linens, and showers. Great people to stay with. The owners are well traveled and speaks several languages. Thank... Been in this hostel for the world cup. We paid dearly for one night (US$ 280.00). Rooms cramped and deteriorating decor. The only good thing is the location. The service is bad, the maids opened the door to clean the room, even with the warning, and knocked on the door the whole time. Would not recommend.

Dear Claudio, thank you very much for your comment about our Hotel, even that we are surprised over your review. Unfortunately during the unique World Cup event the prices of Hotels and Pousadas were in all of Brasil much higher than regulary, even though we were still cheaper than others in the same category (unless you were lucky and booked... ..in the central bairro de barra. For this location the prices are reasonable. Love the staff! Since years they stay friendly and always helpful, the main reason why i come back. The pousada is like an island in the city. Beautiful and clean rooms, with all u need. Good breakfast. I love that place, full of charme, feels like home.... More

Stayed during the World Cup. Prices were much higher than normal but not exorbitant given what others were charging for the same time. Stayed in a quadruple room on the ground floor. Fairly spacious in comparison to other quad rooms we had during the trip. Very clean. Shower had warm water (unfortunately the glass door only goes halfway, so we'd... More

Stayed here during the world cup. It is very basic accommodation probably not worth more than $50 a night. Given that it was world cup - I was willing to pay more but definitely not worth $250 per night even factoring in the location in Barra. The bathroom was so small - it is no more than 24-30 inches wide... More

We stayed here during the World Cup, landing the day of a game. thus, prices for all lodging was exhorbitant, and it certainly wasnt worth $300 per night except during this extraordinary time. Since we had three people, parents and a daughter, they provided an extra bed in a small room that was best suited for two or even one... More

The pousada is located on a quiet street in the Barra neighborhood. Our stay was two nights and it would have been longer but they were fully booked in advance and had no further availablity. This is a good budget option when visiting Salvador. Pros: Clean rooms, Good A/C, Quiet, Nearby access to Atlantic and Bay beaches, Tasty, filling breakfast... More
