We stayed at Txai for 4 days to end a month-long trip to South America so we were lookng for luxury, relaxation and a chance to explore the countryside as well as do some snorkelling. Our standard bungalow was well maintained and OK but we have stayed in more luxurious eco resorts in South America. (We didn't have an outdoor... more

I've stayed with my boyfriend for a couple of days. The staff is friendly, but totally unprofessional, they don't know how to serve properly. Many things were missing all the time, and staff do not speak english. I think the owners are unprofessional. For the the prices we've payed we could have had so much more in any other destination.... more

Txai is the thinking person's paradise. If you're looking for glitz and a social director this isn't the place for you. There are no TV's in the bungelows, instead it has beautiful views, silence, a pristine beach, hikes and lots of nature. The resort is engaged in various social and ecological projects such as helping local farmers with sustainable farming, saving... more

We stayed with three young children at Txai resort last spring. We were seeking a Brazilian resort that would provide a great beach with cultural and ecological elements. Txai completely delivered. The kids surfed, saw baby turtles make there way to the ocean, did a hike into the rainforest with canoes, etc. Erasmus was the ring leader on the staff.... more

OK this place is definitely nice. However when we arrived (after the dodgiest drive to the hotel) we were shown to our room (which was Bungalow 2 - and has the best view of the ocean) we were still very excited about this "amazing" resort that we had been told so much about. The rooms are nice, they are basic... more

We stayed in a standard bungalow for four nights in September. This proved an excellent way to wind up our visit to Brazil. The property is situated on a perfect beach amongst swaying coconut palms and is 100% geared to rest and relaxation. We flew to Ilheus airport and took the hotel transportation service to the resort - transfer time... more

We had pre booked a room at Posada Sage Point in Itacare BUT Aafter staying there one night we could endure it no more as it had no AC, had no mattress pad --- just a sheet on a dirty mattress, was crazy with mosquitoes --- so we left and drove to view Txai. My wife and I were immediately... more

My husband and I spent only 3 days at the resort during our honeymoon in Brazil and what an excellent way to end our trip! The service was phenomenal! The staff is very friendly and make you feel at ease. The accomodations were cozy although there were a few ants here and there considering the bungalows were in a well... more

I give Txai (pronounced "chai") my highest recommendation! This was the perfect place for our Brazilian honeymoon. Between spending time in Rio and Salvador, Txai was the perfect place to relax, pamper ourselves and enjoy eachothers' company. The grounds are stunning, the beach is expansive and untouched, and the food is excellent. The bungalows are not lavish, but very comfortable... more

We had five nights at Txai at the end of a three week honeymoon in Brazil. Unfortunately it rained continuously for our entire stay so we weren't able to truly experience all that the resort has to offer. Despite this we found the bungalow to be very comfortable except for a sudden invasion of enormous ants which seemed to emerge... more
