We loved this lodge situated right on the Rio Grande. There are no mosquitos there hence no malaria which made it so lovely sitting outside in the barmy weather. The staff were excellent and helpful. We were really pleased with our stay at this amazing jungle lodge. The staff in incredibly helpful and the accomodations are amazingly plush given the environment. We have just returned from four wonderful days at Anavilhanas. It was our first visit to the Amazon and the lodge's remote location and wonderful guides made for a perfect stay. I went with my children to the Anavilhanas (6 and 9 years old) for 3 days. We all had a wonderful time! This is a confortable family run boutique hotel. The location of this lodge is perfect. The lodge consists of simply built wooden huts which blends wonderfully with the surrounding nature. The disappointments were the following: Total lack of hospitality from the owners.
