My husband and I stayed here for one night on either end of a jungle excursion (two nights in total). The hotel is absolutely huge, and on a lovely set of grounds including a great swimming pool and mini zoo. Our room was okay, felt damp and didn't have enough sheets on the bed (one half sheet instead of a... More

My family stayed for 3 nights in 2 superior rooms (not sure if we paid for superior but got basic?). Rooms were smelly (mildew) and out-of-date. This hotel seems to have best ratings for Manaus, but would not compete in other cities. On the plus side, we felt safe, the staff was helpful (although check-in was unnecessarily long), restaurant was... More

This hotel was booked for us as part of a longer tour, so we were wary given the TA reviews we read beforehand. Luckily our expectations we were not too high! The hotel would have been beautiful when it was built, but it has been neglected. The zoo was interesting and the restaurant quite good. It was annoying to pay... More

My family and I stayed three nights at this hotel and found it to be very clean and well staffed. The rooms were very comfortable but a bit expensive . Could have been due to the fact that the world cup was on and every hotel at the minimum doubled their prices. Nevertheless I would stay here again. As we dont... More

This is a very large hotel located far from the downtown of Manaus. Taxi's to the main city center will cost you approx. $60-$75 real just to get to the downtown. The hotel itself is cleanly and the rooms are well kept. The inside of the building looks like it was converted from an old English castle. They have excellent... More

The management really need to address a number of different issues throughout the hotel. A welcome note from the management in English? Nobody read my profile? I am a Brazilian citizen. Could be done in Portuguese. The doors in the corridor left open (access to maintenance and electrical room), dirty windows, clearly had not been cleaned for days. Wallpaper peeling... More

This was a convenient place to stay after our visit to the Ariau Amazon Towers Hotel. The Ariau pick-up and drop-off was from the Tropical Hotel Lobby, so it naturally was a good choice to stay here before our rain forest trip. Also, the airport is only 20 minutes away. We stayed in a Noble Suite and it was fine... More

The hotel is huge, beautiful, and comfortable, offering all types of amenities. The rooms are old and need some refurbishing. Food is good and offers variety. The really negative point for me was that I stayed in a room very far away from the lobby (about 500 meters away), and the front desk usually took long to answer the phone... More

We stated for one night and the next morning we went to Amazon river cruise for 3 nights. Landscaping and outdoor was great also the pool was beautiful. The building was very old and it seemed to be over 30 years old hotel . Not very clean and long walking to rooms

This hotel gives the impression of having been someone's grand design thirty years ago and now fallen into disrepair. Rooms are incredibly old fashioned and basic. Food is expensive and mediocre. Service very mixed. Most restaurants were closed with the hotel trying to push people through the main restaurant buffet.
