Ariau Jungle Tower worked out to be fabulous for us because we were lucky to go in low season so it was pretty empty and our tour groups were very small--sometimes just me and my husband. We heard after we booked that the groups can be as big as 25 sometimes so we were really happy that that wasn't the... more

I love adventures, and the Ariau provides them. I was very nervous arriving at Manaus airport, but the Ariau picked me up and drove me to the Tropical hotel for my first night , which I highly recommend. The Ariau is a fantastic place with friendly staff. I walked the lodge day and night in search for monkeys which I... more

This was a fun hotel. My husband and I stayed for four days/three nights and enjoyed our time here very much. We were in Tower 1, the oldest tower, and we heard some of the other rooms were nicer, but we had a great view over Rio Negro and never considered changing rooms. This is definitely a place you want... more

As a side trip I booked a 2 day / 1 night arrangement to Ariau Jungle Tower. Was I disappointed? No, but the hotel on its own does not merit what one could expect at this price. The tropical climate nibbles at all corners. The standard room allocated to me was tiny, did not have a real window, just a... more

Let me first say that I am a princess when I travel and can find the pea in a mattress in a Four Seasons. I am hard wired for luxury. When our boat pulled up to the Ariau and I saw how rusticly tipsy the place seemed, my heart sank. And the wasp sting didn't help either. But by the... more

Upon arriving at the Ariau, I was taken aback by the rustic somewhat rundown nature of the place. I was considering shortening my visit, but my 8 year old son was having such a good time, I decided to stick it out. Boy am I glad I did! By the third day, I was having a blast. The staff and... more

I had by far the best time ever in my life in this place. I stayed 4 nights. I did not want to leave. The excursions are absolutely excellent. Our guide name was Margirita. She is the best guide in this place. She is very knowledgable and takes her work very seriously. I've learned so much about animals and the... more

There is so much to describe about this experience. We did the 4 day/3 night package. First of all, the airport pickup and boat transfer to Ariau went seemlessly. Upon check-in at Ariau, they ask if you want to buy the prepaid cards to use while there. If you have Reais, then you don't really need to do this as... more

I just returned from a visit to Ariau - we stayed 3 nights. If you're looking for a "nice hotel" with a great pool & gourmet food this isn't it. If you're looking for a jungle lodge where you want to see and interact with wildlife, people from all over the world and learn a lot about the Amazon region... more

Read reviews here before we went, saw that it was a mixed bag of ideas, and that was basically what we experienced. The pros: Awesome setting, really cool concept, some fun/interesting things to do The cons: The resort is falling apart, there is a decaying theme park feel to the whole experience, food sucks. First, the pros: Hey, what's not... more
