This is one of the most expensive hotels in Manaus, however its quality is not even close to the price you pay. The hotel was built in 1991, since then almost nothing has changed. I have stayed at the Taj Mahal many times over the past 6 or 7 years. Its always barely adequate but convenient. There are worse hotels.
