No hot water, the place is crawling with bugs, the windows have not been washed since 1955, the Wifi doesn´t work well or not at all, and the place is FILTHY ! ! ! I had one day with no hot water, another with no air conditioning. The bar is not stocked and does not have sufficient inventory. If you... More

I had the BEST view of Manaus and the Opera house from my room, #1214 if I am not mistaken. The hotel is old and need some TLC. A pool for a hot day is not too bad. A revolving restaurant for dinner or lunch also an option. Nothing to brag about it but if nothing else to do, just... More

I stayed at the Taj Mahal Continental Hotel for 1 and 1/2 days this month and all the other reviews for the most part have it right: it is old and in need of some care, but for me the staff really made up for it (I had read some bad reviews of the staff but I had no such... More

This hotel is only 1 block from the Manaus Theatre and square. It is walking distance to the market (a must see market) and many local sights. In a one week stay I never saw an insect of any kind and the hotel is clean with helpful and friendly staff. It is definitely dated buy has secure parking (important for... More

The only thing going for this hotel is its proximity to the Teatro Amazonas. There is no air conditioning or even light in the hallways. The elevators barely worked. I had to get reception to help find me a room multiple times. Either the air conditioning didn't work, the safe didn't work or the door wouldn't open. Any hotel that... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night while transferring to the Amazon Eco Lodge park. It was okay for a one night stay but would look elsewhere next time. The furniture was old and dated. There was mold in the bathrooms and the fixtures looked like there were from a different era all together :) However if all you... More

Enjoyed my stay excellent location view from the revolving restaurant incredible breakfast good, the only let down was the loss of my two tickets that i was keeping as a reminder of attending the soccer world cup, they were removed i`m sure by the cleaner who might not have known they were already used. I discovered this when i got... More

This is a well-located hotel, but if you don't like old furniture and prefer cleaner/clearer rooms it might not be the right choice for you. It looks and feels old, and service was not good enough, even for my short stay. You can find better deals in Manaus.

I didn't stay in the hotel, I only went to its restaurant, wich ia a rooftop rotating restaurant. The waiter was really nice and friendly, the food was the best I had in Manaus and the view is just breath taking. From there you can see the theatre, Rio Negeo and Rio Solimões
