Since I will be going to the amazon rain forest, the first thing that comes to mind is the location. Arrived very late and the room I was given was in the 1st Fl which I thought was very minimal, no window. I was not impressed. I went to a 3 nights amazon rain forest adventure and left my luggage.... More

This hotel is in Manaus downtown (a rundown area, by the way), a stone's throw from Teatro Amazonas, handicrafts shops, eateries and bus stop to and from the airport. It's handy during the day, but pretty intimidating at night. Far from being inspiring or stylish, the hotel is clean and rooms have all amenities one may need, like free WiFi,... More

We booked five nights in an air conditioned double room but when we arrived, they only had twin rooms. The room was very hot and the air conditioner was completely useless. The bathroom was mouldy and smelled of sewage. They promised to move us to a double room the next day, but then told us we would only have it... More

This is an unpretentious, no frills budget hotel, literally around the corner from the Teatro Amazonas, and its cobblestoned square which marks the city center. The hotel serves a generous breakfast in the basement dining room which combines both Brazilian and standard international fare. Though there is no in house restaurant, you have several good bars and restaurants in the... More

This hotel is centrally located and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful and we booked a room for our return from th Amazon to shower and repack before flying back to Sao Paulo. The walk to the Opera House and the shopping street was safe. The hotel stored our big bags while we went into the Amazon with... More

First, let me say I am very surprised that none of the World Cup visitors has left any comments about this hotel. I was there during the World Cup for three nights. I arrived at this hotel at 1:30 a.m. after a tiring and delayed flight from San Francisco via Miami. I was so exhausted that I just wanted a... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Its location to the sights and attractions is very good. The room was uninviting although it was quiet and we slept well. In our room we had no hand towels and a small bath towel. We had no hot water to shower. The safe did not work either and there was no... More

I chose this hotel based on location and the fact that it was to be a 24-hour stop over on the way from a jungle lodge to Santarém. It is around the corner from the Amazon Theater and Armando's and the beautiful Largo and in that respect it was perfect. We were attended by very friendly and professional staff, ready... More

The hotel is very well located just 2 minutes walk to the theatre which is surrounded by restaurants and a further short walk takes you to the street markets and dock area. The hotel staff are very polite and extremely helpful. We organised a trip to the meeting of the waters from the hotel desk and it was a great... More
