The B&B is basic though it has a swimming pool. Some rooms need renovation. We stayed before and after our Amazon trip & had a much better room the 2nd time. Ask for a renovated room when you book. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English. The breakfast was good, but if you want eggs they only come... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night before we went to the Amazon and we really enjoyed it. It's a little off the beaten track and it's a beautiful building. The rooms are a little dated and pretty basic, but that comes with the territory - it's an old building so you can't be surprised by that. It's... More

After our jungle tour, we have stayed at the Chez les Rois for one night. It is a little off centre, but still ok. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is also good (try the fresh orange juice!). At the reception, both ladies were really helpful and spoke English very well - not that common ;))

This hotel/bed and breakfast is extremely basic and desperately in need of renovation- much of it seems to be falling apart. The staff however are friendly and helpful and one really positive point is the small swimming pool (also in need of renovation) which is most welcome as a means of cooling off when returning to the hotel. The breakfast... More

This is a lovely place. You can take a dip in the pool or relax in one of the cozy corners. The staff is very friendly and helpful and several of them speak English. There was no problem is storing some of our stuff while we went into the Amazonas for some days. Breakfast is good. Our rooms were perfectly... More

When I arrived in Manaus, I was hit by the humidity. It was good to reach Chez le Rois, which is like a quiet oasis in the middle of Manaus and also to go into a room with a bit of air conditioning. This guesthouse was helpful with any information which I needed, like where to eat. Jessica, particularly who... More

Stayed for 3 nights in July/August 2014 with our two children aged 11 and 8. We loved Chez les Rois. The location is away from the city centre so is quite quiet but the area is very nice with some good little restaurants and shops locally (try Supreme Brigadeiros - absolutely delicious Brazilian sweets) and the Milleninnium Shopping centre is... Chez les Rois is an exceptionally friendly, well run pousada where the helpful staff can't do enough for you. Basic but clean and functional rooms, attractive communal areas, free wifi and a decent breakfast are all to be expected and the small but appealing pool is an added bonus. It's a little off the beaten track (make sure you get... More

If you are truely looking for a home away from home, with the hosts Mauro & Ethel as your temporay family in Manaus, Brasil, this is the place to stay! The rooms, pool and food are excellent. Mauro is a very special person and his staff are an extention of him in the way he runs his Bed & Breakfast.... More
