Manaus is awful. Only thing of interest to see is the opera house and the place itself needs to be given a wide berth. But on the way to see the Amazon Maguires is a gem. Perfectly accomodating, modern and clean. Price was great. Pool was refreshing. The breakfasts were delicious. Clive picked us up in the middle of the night from the airport without a hint of complaint. Naice drove us all around, even way downtown, and volunteered to come back later to pick us up.
