My son and I stayed with Clive and Naice for four nights in June 2009, and it was perfect. Clive met us at the airport, even though we arrived at around midnight, and was very patient with all of our questions about local customs, wildlife etc, in spite of the late hour. On our first day Clive took us on... more

The other reviews have said it all. I stayed twice here in between going to one of the jungle lodges and was there over Christmas. I could have been really homesick but because Niace and Clive were so welcoming I enjoyed my Christmas in the tropics. They even took me out on their boat to one of the Amazon "beaches"... more

We spent several days with Clive and Naice. What fabulous hosts and what a comfortable, tranquil place! As far as amenities go, they offered very comfortable beds, breakfasts fit for a king, personal chauffeur service to several interesting places, and were a great source of information on local restaurants and such. Oh, and I should also mention that Clive has... more

Stayed for 5 days, wish I cld hv extended my stay. The hosts (Clive and Nice) run an un-typical guesthouse: Just 2 rooms - but it comes with features you would not expect from a guesthouse: swimming pool, TV in your room, a bathroom which is nicer than most ones in European/US-hotels. Outside areas where you can sleep during the... more

All the previous reviews have said it all, and we were not disappointed - it was an absolute joy to stay here. Its such a lovely start to your trip being picked up by Clive, and it just keeps getting better. As all previous reviewers have said, the location is outside the city but it by no means limits you... more

My fiancee and I stayed at this bed and breakfast before we went to a jungle lodge and after our return. We are extremely happy we found this place. The service was second to none. To begin with, our flight from Rio arrived in Manaus late. Nevertheless, Clive was there at about 1:30 a.m. very patiently waiting for us. The... more

The guesthouse is a very nice tranquil place to relax when you come back from a jungle trip. Clive and Naice are perfect hosts, that try to make your stay as nice and comfortable as possible. Althought the B&B is a bit outside , we didn't feel cut off from outside world, because our hosts willingly transfered us to the... more

I stayed at Maguire's guest house 3 times in between different trips to the rainforest and it felt like coming home each time. Clive and Naice are wonderful hosts, entertaining, informed and informative, not to mention helpful and charming. The guesthouse is located conveniently close to the airport but wasn't noisy, and is not far from the centre of Manaus.... more
