We traveled here from out of state and had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised at finding such a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the swan suite that was furnished beautifully, clean and so wonderfully welcoming after a long drive. The full kitchen was more then we expected! Our only not so good surprise was... elegant rooms, great prices, beautiful view of the Mississippi, I loved it. They have suites, called the Swan, the Eagle, and the Garden. The mattresses are so great, also the décor. I also loved that we had kitchens. I'll do it again

We highly recommend Hotel de Ville. Can't say enough good things about it. This was our third delightful escape here. We have stayed in 3 of the 5 lodgings. This time five of us stayed quite comfortably at the Falcon Cottage. Nice to wake up and enjoy coffee in the separate kitchen area or play games. These properties are very unusual... More

We were amazed at the size of our "suite" and found it described best as an "Apartment". Fully furnished with the finest of antiques, crystal, and china, the De Ville gives you a European flavor that's only two and a half hours from the Twin Cities. The double pillowtop mattresses in the bedrooms were a delightful surprise along with the... More

The experience throughout Hotel de Ville can best be described as charming and amazing. We were so pleasantly surprised. We met the owner, Dan, when we first arrived. He was gracious, courteous, has a sense of humor, and is very passionate about Hotel de Ville. He pays very close attention to every detail. The bed was comfy, rooms were spacious,... More

Very nicely decorated. Nice touches. Comfortable. Husband wanted to watch trains and barges on the river. My relaxation was going to be reading and watching television. Little did we know when the brochure said "tv and dvd" they meant a tv screen to play 2nd rate old worn dvd's on and that the tv was not functional. When I inquired... More

This is a great place if you like the homey comforts of a B&B but want more privacy. Our unit included a living room with a small kitchenette (full fridge, sink, oven, dishes), a table to play board games, a nice TV, and even a desk for my sister to do her homework. The downstairs gave us a comfortable living... More

So much attention has been given to the furnishing & decorating. It's beautful & very comfortable. Having a complete kitchen allowed us to enjoy more time in the suite. The hotel website does a great job showcasing the properties. Usually we don't plan to spend a lot of time in our room when traveling. This place was such a joy,... More

This small town on the Mississippi has more to offer than I first realized. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with another couple and were very comfortable in the accommodations--clean, visually appealing, super comfy beds, and our multi story suite included a living and dining area (including equipped kitchen for meals) to entertain, plus a small balcony to watch... We have stayed here before and we love this quaint little town. We had 6 of us and we were all able to stay in one of the houses across the street from the main office. It was furnished fabulously and our only regret was that we didn't have more time to hang out and enjoy it. The beds were... More
