There is not much in the way of options in Rurrenabaque so, with that context, this place is good. Rooms are based around a central courtyard but there's a strict no noise at night policy. Wifi is good at reception, not so good in the room. The single ceiling fan barely offers much resistance to Rurrenabaque's oppressive heat. But the... More

Clean and basic hotel, good value after few days in the jungle. Hot shower was working. There is free wifi and breakfast included. It was included on our tour package so we didn't choose it. Good for one night rest.

It's pretty basic and our room was full of mosquitos which I had to kill, but you can't argue with the price or location and there are nice hammocks outdoor in the shade. The hot water is sporadic but after the jungle any hot water seems a luxury! Don't expect much from breakfast though.

The owner, Ruben, and personnel are very friendly. The place is being touched up, but the rooms need more finishing. Fixing up the plumbing, and painting the details will help a lot. Breakfast was very very basic, could improve lots on that. The fluctuating electrical power blew my iPad charger the first day..Nice patio with communal hammocks. After 5 days... More

Stayed here a couple of nights. The rooms are based around a courtyard which has hammocks - great for relaxing during the day. Reasonable sized and clean bedroom, with ceiling fan and ensuite. It was fairly quiet when we stayed. Usual breakfast. Owner was really kind when I was not feeling well. Also when we had to leave very early... More

Let's face it, hotels in Rurra are all pretty dodgy but this is the least so. The rooms are basic but the price is cheap and includes breakfast. There are also communal hammocks to chill out in. The staff were also really nice.

Hostal Oriental was recommended by a La Paz agency we had been booking trips with. They said located on the main square, and only about $25 a night - for a couple. So we went with it. Our room was Number 11 - it is an almost stand alone builidng in the court yard. Windows on 3 sides. Of course,... More

LP says dat breakfasts are great! But we were served with a regular breakfast (A loaf with jam, a bowl of fruit, juice and a coffee). I think dat the writers of LP havent had a meal in days. But despite of a regular breakfast (what is a reasonable for the price of the room) the hotel is comfortable.

We had two nights here before leaving for our Jungle/Pampas tour and found it quite adequate. Reasonable sized clean room. Shower not overly hot but not too bad. The rooms all face into a courtyard with hammocks which looks nice but we found it very noisy. Mostly, because of ignorant travellers leaving early and talking so loudly. The staff were... More

This hotel is centrally situated in Plaza 2 de Febrero. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower delivered hot water. The rooms are arranged around a nice central courtyard with hammocks appealingly strung between the trees. Breakfast was buffet - basic but adequate.
