Good place to stay either side of jungle/pampas tours, which is what we did. Rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. Hot shower - even a little too hot perhaps when its 40 degrees outside! Breakfast basic but fine. Good value overall. There isn't any way to book online, so we asked our jungle tour company to book us a... More

We stayed here for one night before our Pampas tour, and one night after, and both times we were really happy with our stay. We found it difficult to find somewhere to stay in Rurrenabaque as most affordable places (including this place) have mixed reviews online, but we were really glad we went with Hotel Oriental. The staff were really... More

This hotel is well located on the plaza of Rurre, a few minutes walk from the main street and boat launch for the jungle lodges. It is very basic, but the room we had had working hot water and a fan. It is a little more expensive than it should be, and the rooms are situated around a central courtyard... More

We struggled to find somewhere to stay online, and were really worried because nothing in Rurre looked great. In the end we booked at Hotel Oriental, and were very happy with our decision. We stayed for 3 nights in total. The hotel is basic, but our room was clean and comfortable. We were given freshly squeezed juice on arrival, and... More

Not many options in central Rure and this place takes advantage of the situation. Very average service and barely decent rooms for the price they ask. Convenient location, but it is the only very good thing about this place. Lives off its reputation.

We stayed in a private double en suite at the Hotel Oriental for 1 night, booked through Madidi Jungle Ecolodge, prior to our jungle tour. The hotel is very basic, but is set around a nice garden. The staff were friendly, and this being the jungle, the WiFi only worked within 3 metres of the router at reception. Our room... More

There is not much in the way of options in Rurrenabaque so, with that context, this place is good. Rooms are based around a central courtyard but there's a strict no noise at night policy. Wifi is good at reception, not so good in the room. The single ceiling fan barely offers much resistance to Rurrenabaque's oppressive heat. But the... More

Clean and basic hotel, good value after few days in the jungle. Hot shower was working. There is free wifi and breakfast included. It was included on our tour package so we didn't choose it. Good for one night rest.

It's pretty basic and our room was full of mosquitos which I had to kill, but you can't argue with the price or location and there are nice hammocks outdoor in the shade. The hot water is sporadic but after the jungle any hot water seems a luxury! Don't expect much from breakfast though.

The owner, Ruben, and personnel are very friendly. The place is being touched up, but the rooms need more finishing. Fixing up the plumbing, and painting the details will help a lot. Breakfast was very very basic, could improve lots on that. The fluctuating electrical power blew my iPad charger the first day..Nice patio with communal hammocks. After 5 days... More
