We stayed here for three nights, but we wished we could have stayed for two weeks. We have been traveling in South America for three months and this is one of the best value-for-money deals we have found! This place is heaven on earth regarding hostels/resorts! It is a 100% beauty with the most fantastic pool areas and best views... More

We stayed at Sol y Luna the days before New Year's Eve 2014. We slept in the Alaya cabin. It was a long walk from the front desk/restaurant area, but we loved the privacy and did not mind the distance. Sol y Luna was a great choice for us because we were not expecting a luxury stay and valued the... More

We stayed here a week over Christmas and had pretty high expectations based on other reviews. It is a little way out of town but we liked the peaceful location among beautiful gardens and the view from our cabaña (Alaya) was stunning. Dania was always very friendly. Our cabaña while lovely and rustic wasn't very clean. All surfaces were dusty... More

I arrived at this place by accident. Was looking for someone to help me, fell in love with the place and decided to stay one night. Fernando and Dania were very helpful and joyful, and never lost patience. They made me visit a coffee plantation Manaipata, which washighky interesting. I got stuck one more night because my bus could not... More

Pros- Spacious room with double bed and ensuite, fully equipped kitchen with mini fridge, top quality shower. Relaxing getaway only a few hours from the mayhem of La Paz. Cons- 5 solid mins uphill from town to hostel in taxi (15B), would be at least 30mins walk. Wifi only works at reception. Don't expect ANY customer service! We stayed 3... More

The first time I stayed in Sol y Luna I stayed with two foreign friends I met while hiking down to Coroico. It was a pleasant experience since the hotel has a great view of the mountains and its quite big to walk. When I came back with my family i was hyped to stay at the hotel with them,... More

This is a beautiful place to come to relax with wonderful views. We had a room in the big house with fantastic views and was perhaps the best value deal in Bolivia paying 60 BOBS for the private room sleeping up to 3 people. it is a little out of town and takes about 30 minutes uphill to get there... We loved our stay at Sol y Luna. The three of us stayed up stairs in a dorm for a very affordable price and made good use of the spa and pool and beautiful surrounds. The meals prepared by the kitchen were also spot on. We came across the owner at one point who was a bit standoffish. This may... More

I stayed in the beautiful cabana Alaya which is one of the uppermost cabanas on the hillside. Pros: privacy, phenomenal views, tranquility and seclusion. Cons: a bit of a hike up and down the hill (I considered this a plus, as I loved the exercise) and yes, there was a spider who found it's way into my beautiful little cabin.... More

I stayed here only one night. My room in Casa Sigrid was OK. But the grounds of this place are amazing. I spent a whole day wandering up and down the footpaths, sitting in the gardens, visiting the meditation room. And the restaurant is quite good. So for a relaxing day or two in nature, this place is great!
