We spent three nights at Sol y Luna and absolutely loved it. In our little cabin - 'Nectar' - we would wake up in the mornings and have breakfast on our balcony next to hummingbirds and with a gorgeous view of the rainforest and hills. The cabin was rustic and very cosy, with wood and stone floors, a well-equipped kitchen... More

Great hostel to spend a few days in Coroico. It’s 20 min walk uphill from town but it has all the peace and quiet you need. There’s 5 dollar Yoga lessons in the morning, massages and a pretty good restaurant. The views are also amazing and the place has two pools and a “Jacuzzi” (they charge extra money for the... More

My friends and I stayed in the double apartments with two beds and a kitchen/bathroom. The beds need updating as they are lumpy and old. But the rooms were spacious and the kitchen functional .The hotel is fairly old and the rooms we stayed in were looking a bit tired. It could use some upgrading and spiffing up, but as... More

This is a beautiful property but I can only give it mixed reviews because some of the reception staff seem overwhelmed and at the minimum are unhelpful. There is a lack of clarity on whether one's reservation actually 'counts', what rooms are or are not available, etc. Everything often seems up in the air and disorganized. In addition, the Internet... More

We were looking for a relaxing getaway and this is exactly what we got. Only 2 and a bit hours from La Paz, it was a perfect side trip. We stayed in 'bamboo' which had a private ensuite, fully equipped outdoor kitchen, patio with hammock, outdoor table and amazing views over the valley. The Hostal had a yoga/meditation room which... This is really a great place. We stayed here for 5 nights at the "Luna Apartment". This hostal is a 30 minutes walk outside Coroico. 10 minutes by cab. We slept a bit higher up the hill, a minute walk from the reception. Great restaurant and pools. Some rooms/apartments have their own bathroom, some don't. This place makes you feel... More

We stayed here for three nights, but we wished we could have stayed for two weeks. We have been traveling in South America for three months and this is one of the best value-for-money deals we have found! This place is heaven on earth regarding hostels/resorts! It is a 100% beauty with the most fantastic pool areas and best views... More

We stayed at Sol y Luna the days before New Year's Eve 2014. We slept in the Alaya cabin. It was a long walk from the front desk/restaurant area, but we loved the privacy and did not mind the distance. Sol y Luna was a great choice for us because we were not expecting a luxury stay and valued the... More

We stayed here a week over Christmas and had pretty high expectations based on other reviews. It is a little way out of town but we liked the peaceful location among beautiful gardens and the view from our cabaña (Alaya) was stunning. Dania was always very friendly. Our cabaña while lovely and rustic wasn't very clean. All surfaces were dusty... More
