Florian's is the perfect place to stay if planning to take the Lake Koman Ferry. We planned the whole trip from his guesthouse. The bus collected us from outside his door. The price included the ferry which was just €10. We stayed in accommodation in Valbone and Theth recommended by Florian. The lodging was comfortable, the food was great and... More

Florian and his family are very nice, if you're looking for a few days away from the city then this is ideal. They offer optional extra local food which is nice to try. They only issue with the place is the distance related. Be aware that the guest house is actually in the next village over, about 4km or so,... More

We stayed two and a half nights atr Florians guest house on or way to and from the albanian alps. Florian helped us arrange both transportation to, and accomodiation in, Theth and Valbona. We slept in the double room, very comfortable bed. We hade two really nice dinners at the guest house, with interesting conversations with fellow travellers, one of... More

It is really nice place to stay. Staff is really friendly and helpful. They can speak good English. breakfast and dinner are good, as well as the home-made wine. everything you get for breakfast and dinner is made from the stuff they grown in their own garden. It's bit further away from city centre but bus is only 500 Lek... More

My two friends were travelling from turkey to Croatia and had to stop in Albania on the way through. I am so glad we did! Florian showed us a fantastic time, showed us all around beautiful Shkoder, followed by a homecooked meal all from ingredients from his own garden. I highly recommend staying here!

Thank you Florian for grea time in Albania. When we was in Shkoder we sleep in Florians guesthouse. All space around guest house is very comfortable and we felt real Albanian colorite. Rooms are pretty clean and comfortable. Also we was amazed about hospitality of Florians family. Florian is very interesting man - he gave for us a lot of... More

Fantastic escape in Shkoder. Albania is such a surprisingly hospitable country, and Florians guesthouse was a very warm and peaceful experience. Florian himself was incredibly kind and helpful, and was very concerned with making sure we had the best experience we could. He and his family cooked a delicious homemade feast (with ingredients from their farm) which was such a... More

Hello everybody. First of all tell why I think you musn't go there. The treatment as guest was HORRIBLE. I went to his place using Couchsurfing, a website that people use to travel FOR FREE, and someone never makes publicity of their personal business, something which the site forbides. When I contacted him he said I could stay, but which... More

we stayed 5 nights at Florians guesthouse and enjoyed everything. It was much more of a homestay experience than a hostel. For example, Florian's Mum and sisters do the cooking, and everyone tries to help people feel welcome and cared for. An added bonus for us (all over 60) was that we met a number of enterprising young travellers from... More

After a series of events in which the owner, Florian, seemed to feel sexually rejected by the 18 year old that I was traveling with, he yelled at us for at least 20 minutes about how all western women (a word that I cannot write here because of trip advisors profanity policy). We tried to explain to him how offensive... More
