We stayed one night. Only room available was the "suite" over the pool table room. The "suite" consisted of three rooms connected by archways. Everything in the room was from the 1960's or earlier. No issues, just old and dated. More extension cords than beds with wires hanging out of the drop ceilings. Slept well after the bar noise from... More

Hotel Stebbins is a gem! The two different rooms I stayed in were lovely. The owner, Kristine, and all of her staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were well above average. The location is perfect and I look forward to a return trip. Thank you, Kristine!

We actually enjoyed our stay, it was interesting to say the least. It's in a historic building that is centrally located in Algoma, staying at Hotel Stebbins means you are going back in time. Phone booth in the lobby, tv in lobby has to be 35 years old - a bit hilarious. We appreciated the location, we walked to the... More

If you want a Civil War era hotel with slanted floors, hammock beds,(clean though) small rooms and little in the way of amenities, for over $80 a night - stay here. This would be a good deal in New York City - but not in Algoma. $39 would have been acceptable. Sorry - not recommended and not coming back.

We had stopped by here on a few occasions in the past, but only to the bar. This time we stayed overnight and dined in the restaurant as well. We stayed in the Garden Room which is very "homey" and uniquely decorated. Had a great meal in the dining room. The owner of the hotel, Kristine, was bartending that evening... More

We have stayed here before, and not been disappointed yet! Great value, nice location, nice and helpful staff, and just a really neat old historic hotel. We stayed in the Old World room this time, and the lady at the bar in the evening was nice and got us some extra pillows. I was surprised to learn that when the... More

A friend of mine and I stayed at Hotel Stebbins recently and both of us agreed that we made an excellent decision in choosing that hotel. The price for the double queen room was very fair considering what the competition is charging in nearby Kewaunee. Anyway, upon entry to the room, the white and black bedspreads with black ( not... The owner was very accomadating to our needs while we stayed this month in Algoma. Hospitality plus for this hotel and very nice room with plenty of space. Very clean and will definitely want to stay their again.

Thank you for your comment on hospitality! Yes, this is my business and me and my staffs livelihood, but it's personal and my staff knows that it's personal. They invest themselves in a personal way as well, which I am so proud to say. Please know the first and most important and simple concept I want to accomplish is caring... More

Great staff and a nice clean room. A great dinner with a salad bar with good variety. Spent the evening with a group of locals watching Wisconsin's Final Four game at the hotels bar after dinner. Kristine Ruehl the owner, bar tender, manager and hostess added to the evening with her fun spirit and out going nature. She has a... More

This coming weekend will mark our 5th time staying with Hotel Stebbins in a 2 year period. Every time we stay I am so happy with the location and the rooms. The staff is always wonderful and accommodating as well. You are just a block and a half from the Von Steihl Winery and the other direction, one of the... More
