Pro's: * Great location right beside Hamamatsu JR Station * Venue has a number of eating venues attached to it on the lowest floor giving a wide variety of options * Hotel has a viewing platform on the 45th level with a birds eye view of the entire city + Mt Fuji (sadly, the cloud cover on the day killed... Enjoyed a lovely stay here - clean, comfortable and safe! Great connectivity, convenient and friendly staff. Awed by the view from my room on Level 39! The train station is just a short stroll away too :)

A grand Hotel. Staff friendly. Rooms are large. Free wifi through out the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Great views from the room. The hotel rooms are on the top part of the building so I imagine all rooms have a good view. Breakfast is a buffet and good selection.

Stayed on 32nd floor and theiew from the window is just awesome. Feels like every building in the locality is very small. A plethora of foodies in breakfast and everything is written in English...a very good sign for people who are not so comfortable with Japanese. The hotel staff is very amicable and almost everyone is well versed in English.... More

As others have said great views, we were on the 38th floor facing the mountains. Good sized rooms and bathrooms, and both very clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The only down side I'd say was the breakfast plenty of choice but staff a bit slow on replenishing items. And that you have to get your own coffee... More

Friendly service and great impeccable view is what you'll get for certain. I particularly enjoy the convenience of the walkway at the 2/F which connects to the station shopping area and the Museum of Musical Instruments. Lots of places to eat and shop, yet without the crowd. We also enjoy the breakfast buffet. Not luxury but fresh ingredient abound and... More

It was excellent experience. Breakfast had many variety. Services were excellent. Location is very close to train station. Many options if restaurant in same building makes it very convenient for food lovers. Food plaza opened 24/7 adds to the overall convenience of travellers. Rooms was spacious and hotel lobby give grand feelings. Overall stay was very good.

I stay at the Okura at least 4 times a year for the last 13 years, so I've come to know it pretty well. It feels like home to me. Hamamatsu is a wonderful city that is filled with culture - especially if you like music. The Okura is THE place to stay in Hamamatsu, and you can see the... More

I stayed here for one night while travelling across Japan (from Osaka to Tokyo.) It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the train station. From there, you can transport to almost anywhere. I used the Shinkanshen for the first time here too. There's a musical museum by 3 minute walk from the hotel. However, the dinner was average with... More
