The carpet in my room was extremely dirty. Frankly I think it is unacceptable. Although the bathroom was quite clean, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Reconsider if you are going to book this hotel.

Returned for just one night to the Grand Hotel Hamamatsu after 26 years and it felt like travelling back in time because not much had changed. The reception area was basic but check in & check out was swift. Staff were helpful and friendly. The glass lifts overlooking the Atrium are probably the main feature of the hotel. The rooms... More

It is the best one hotel in Hamamatsu, is far away from downtown just 1 km, in 5 minutes by walking you are in hearth of Hamamatsu. I visited Hamamatsu a lot of times, but it is the best one. The bed is arge and soft, the breakfast is perfectly, the staffs very friendly.

Hamamatsu as a city is very laidback and quiet.. amidst it the hotel is perfect for a stay.. the staff is courteous and friendly.. usage of keys to open rooms is a turn off feature. breakfast was good for non veggies..hope they include more variety for vegetarians.. room size was decent enough for 2 people. however, if ur carrying huge... For a modern traveler staying in chain hotels tends to blend one hotel into the next. For such a guest, this hotel will be a revelation. Yes, there are points where you miss the modern amenities like for e.g. using a key is not exactly fun. But, the old world charm of this hotel more than makes up for it.... More

The Hotel lobby isnt impressive. The glass lift has the view of every floor of the hotel. There is a atrium at level 2 where the cafe is located, and a place to hold private function/event. The atrium is more impressive than the lobby. Generally the room is spacious, clean and quiet BUT not modern and comtemporary. Key is used... More

We booked this online and got quite a decent deal - about 9000 yen for a double. The hotel has all the usual bells and whistles - several restaurants, wireless internet, bellhops, etc. After being shown to our room, we found that it was a smoking room and was too fragrant for our liking. After complaining at the front desk,... More
