When arrived but the hotel couldn't find my reservation. I couldn't find my confirmation number. The front office staff went the extra mile to call other possible Hampton Inns to make sure I didn't get billed for a no-show. The result: somehow my reservation was for Ashland (KY) not Ashland (VA). The hotel is fine, access to I-95 is great,... more

We stayed one night at this hotel while traveling. It is conveniently located off I-95. Our king room was clean and nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. The front desk employee was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The continental breakfast offered the usual fare of coffee, juice, muffins, cereal, and fruit; however, the attendant who was... more

From reservations from our car to the greeting at the desk to breakfast and our checkout, every person greeted and treated us like the most important guests in the world! Clean, organized and friendly are just words. We were returning from a luxury cruise and the service equaled that on the ship. Hated to leave and will always return on... more

My sister booked this hotel in October 2008 for Inauguration Day Jan 20, 2009. We arrived at the hotel on Monday night and were treated with a warm smile and cookies. We were asked if we were staying for the Inauguration and if we had our travels planned. The staff wanted to make sure we were aware of the road... more

Terrific hotel, very comfortable bed, convenient location. "Hot" breakfast was just "ok", rubber eggs, cereal, good fruit salad, good coffee. No surprises, just a good quiet comfortable room with a microwave and refrigerator. Staff excellent! more

Generally agree with other reviews. Quite good all around. Clean comfortable rooms. Top-notch personable front-desk staff (more so than some 4-star hotels I have stayed in). Nice, small pool. Each room has a larger-than-typical refrigerator and also a microwave oven. Nice modest breakfast. Check out the dining recommendations at the front desk before choosing one of the many eateries around.... more

Stayed here while in Richmond area on business. Picked the hotel initially because of good price ($107 mid week), location right off I-95, and the other Trip Advisor reviews. They were right - the hotel is great; staff very friendly and helpful, clean inside and out, and the location is great. It is not brand new, but not one of... more

I loved this hotel so much! It was a superb Hampton Inn, and just everything about it was great! The duvet on the bed was so comfy and cozy. The entire bed was overstuffed with fluff. It was THE BEST BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN! The shower and restroom was clean and well stocked. Of course, at all Hampton... more
