This is a sad little hotel that tries hard but can't overcome some basic negatives. Cleanliness: OK Rooms: Nicely appointed. Nice brand for toiletries. The renovations at The Clarion Collection in Arlington seem to have drastically improved the hotel, judging by reviews from previous travelers. The front desk staff was incredibly rude and uncaring. We were treated like second rate citizens just checking in. Then, we were put in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room that was overwhelmingly smoky. I was able to change rooms but again was treated with disdain by the front desk clerk.
